Chapter 56 - 55

The air in the garden grew thick with the seriousness of the conversation. Prime Creator took two cards from the deck and placed them face down on the stone table.

"And those who died?" John asked, the question heavy with the weight of the millions of lives he had seen extinguished, the pain of the lost, the void left by annihilation. His cosmic eyes fixed on the old man, seeking solace and justification for the vast tragedy.

Prime Creator sighed, a sound that seemed to echo across all realities. He turned over one of the cards, revealing an image of a vast field of stars, each a soul.

"No life is lost, my son," he said, his voice a balm to Jhon's soul. "Death, on the scale you have known it, is merely a transition. Those who perished in the 'game' were not destroyed. Their essences, their souls, were carefully collected by entities working under my guidance. They returned to the 'cradle' of creation, to be purified and eventually reborn."

John felt a wave of relief. The guilt he secretly carried for those he couldn't save, the weight of the destruction he himself had inflicted, lifted.

"They all returned to Earth," the elder continued, his eyes shining with a light that John recognized as unconditional love. He turned the second card over, revealing a vibrant, rejuvenated Earth, with cities flourishing in harmony, and people smiling, their auras filled with light. "They not only returned to Earth, John, but they returned in a state of purity, with the subliminal memory of the lessons learned. Earth is now a beacon of compassion, a society that values love for others, mutual aid, solidarity. They have rebuilt, but in a way that transcends what was before. A society that has finally understood that money and empty power are not everything."

John stared at the image, a vision of an Earth reborn, free from the greed and discord that had corroded it. He saw the faces of people he had saved, and many he had not, all now living in peace. The beauty of that rebirth was overwhelming.

The breeze in the garden carried the scent of exotic flowers, a scent that soothed Jhon's soul. He felt the truth in the Prime Creator's words, the logic behind the apparent cruelty of the "game." It was a lesson, harsh but necessary, for the greater good.

"John, I am not evil," Prime Creator said, his eyes meeting John's with a depth that communicated centuries of wisdom and patience. "I am balance. I allow darkness so that light can be appreciated. I allow pain so that joy can be felt in its fullness. I am the force that drives evolution, the constant change of the multiverse."

He picked up a small handful of soil from the garden floor and crumbled it between his fingers. "The multiverse is a garden, my son. And like every garden, it needs to be tended. It needs pruning, fertilizing, weeding. Humanity, and many other civilizations, were becoming weeds, stifling the growth of something greater."

"I wanted them to see that money and power weren't everything," the elder continued, his eyes shining with unshakable conviction. "That true wealth lies in connection, in empathy, in loving one another, in helping one another. He who helps others truly rises. He who seeks power for its own sake drowns in his own emptiness. You, John, embodied this truth in your journey. You became a protector, a guardian, and at your core, a being of compassion who transcended brutality."

Jhon absorbed every word, every nuance. He had been forged in the fires of adversity, honed by pain and loss. And through it all, he had chosen the path of protection, of creating a haven for those in need, a family for those who had lost theirs. He had proven himself worthy of the legacy.

The Prime Creator smiled, a smile that lit up the garden. He gestured to the distant horizon, where stars twinkled in a sky that John knew contained countless universes.

"Now, my son, you are the Transcendent Entity of the Multiverse. You are the new balance. The multiverse is vast, and there is much to be done, much to be explored, much to be protected. You have the power to create, to annihilate, to shape existence itself. But always remember the lesson of love and compassion. That is what truly defines a being of your caliber."

He rose from the bench, his form simple but his presence imposing. John stood as well, his cosmic eyes meeting those of Prime Creator.

"Your journey doesn't end here, John," the elder continued. "It merely begins a new chapter. The Leviathan, your family, your crew—they are your visible legacy. But your true legacy is the change you inspire, the balance you maintain, the love you nurture. Go forth, my son. Explore the multiverse. Create. Protect. And above all, love."

The Prime Creator patted Jhon on the shoulder, a gesture that conveyed ancient wisdom and fatherly affection. Then, with a blink, he dissolved into thin air, not disappearing, but becoming part of the breeze, the light, the very essence of the garden.

Jhon stood there for a moment, the conversation echoing in his multiversal consciousness. He was not just a god; he was the son of a god, with a purpose that extended beyond mortal comprehension. He looked to the sky, where the Celestial Leviathan would soon appear, bringing his family and his people. The hunt was over. The ascension was complete. But the true journey, that of a being who transcended all, was just beginning. He was Jhon, the Architect and Devourer of the Multiverse, and love was his guide.
