Chapter 58 - Beach (8)

As soon as I slipped out of Bruce's consciousness, I froze, staring at Hulk, who was standing there stunned, not attacking me.

"Huh... Feels like a month has passed or something?"

"Peter!"

I looked over at Gwen, who was fighting with NTR King—I mean, Namor.

"What are you standing there for?! Hurry up and either run or take care of those two!"

"Oh, right!"

I shot webbing at Hulk, wrapping him up into a cocoon.

Right after that, Moon Knight charged at me, tackling me through a door.

"What?!" Since I had just slipped out, my brain hadn't fully processed things yet, making me a bit slow.

Moon Knight and I tumbled for a while before stopping in a strange room.

"Hey, hey, calm down! You've got multiple personalities, so how are you being controlled so easily?!" I said, dodging Moonie's attacks.

I stepped back, spotted an iron cabinet, and yanked it open, revealing a baseball bat.

Seeing Moonie grab his baton, ready to bash my head, I dove into a small cabinet drawer.

"???" Moonie looked bewildered at the sight, staring into the iron drawer.

There was nothing inside.

Moonie scratched his head, only for another drawer to pop open, revealing me swinging the baseball bat hard at his head.

"Oh, poop." I looked at the now-broken baseball bat, then at Moonie, who was glaring at me.

Moonie swung his baton, and I dove back into the drawer.

Moonie looked around, only to get hit in the head with a TV I grabbed after popping out from another spot.

Then I popped out from another place, slamming a sex toy straight into his mask.

This went on until Moonie realized something was seriously wrong.

How is this guy popping out of my pants?! Toon force?!

Realizing the absurdity, he pulled out a gas bomb and threw it.

The room filled with smoke, and I coughed violently before a punch slammed straight into my face.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch!" I was getting pummeled in the head repeatedly, my head even sinking into my body.

Then Moonie pulled out a hammer from somewhere and smashed it into me, flattening me like paper.

Wow, this guy dared to use my toon force against me!

So I pulled a double-barreled shotgun out of my pants, startling Moonie.

Bang!

Moonie ran out the door, his cape getting grazed by stray bullets.

He opened a nearby door and went in, and I quickly chased after him.

I opened the door, saw Moonie come out from another one, and fired a few shots, making him run back inside.

Then he opened a door from another spot, right beside me.

"Aha!"

I raised the shotgun, but Moonie threw a moon-shaped dart at it.

The shotgun deflated like a balloon, and I frantically tried to blow it back up.

Seeing his chance, Moonie grabbed a bowling ball and hurled it at me.

"AHHH!"

I got hit by the bowling ball and split into twelve smaller versions of myself.

"Ah..." Moonie looked at us as we reinflated the shotgun and aimed at him.

Bang, bang, bang, bang!

Moonie ran from us, and we chased him, firing nonstop.

Soon, Moonie was cornered, turning to see the twelve smaller versions of me merge back into one.

"No escape now!"

I kept firing, and Moonie stood there, terrified.

...?

Moonie looked around, realizing every shot I fired missed.

Slowly, the wall behind him collapsed from the bullets I'd shot.

"Should've played Call of Duty with Harry instead... HYAAHHH!!"

I charged at Moonie, tackling him.

We both fell freely, and as Moonie struggled, I used my ability to enter his subconscious.

'Even though this guy's thoughts aren't normal, if I don't do something, we'll end up killing each other! Nya, do it!'

[Huh? Do what?]

'Do what?! Hurry up and take me into his subconscious!'

[Why? He's still conscious, isn't he?]

"Huh?"

We both crashed into a pile of hay, which shouldn't even be here.

I struggled to get up, seeing Moonie raise his baton toward me.

With Moonie's murderous eyes, I realized who I was fighting.

"Jake... We're fighting enemies, not each other."

"Eh? But this fight's fun!" Jake said, his eyes full of glee.

Ugh... Of course, it's Jake Lockley.

The third personality—craziest, most ruthless, and most violent.

"And here I thought you were being controlled! That hit hurt, you know!"

"Ehhh, no worries, you're not dead, are you?" Jake put away his weapon, casually looking around.

"Thanks to you, I have no idea where we are now," I said, walking over and looking up.

"No problem, I've got it all memorized. Besides, I was gonna kill you, then go back and kill everyone else."

"No wonder your other two personalities never liked you."

***

"You crazy bitch!"

Namor, enraged, fired jets of water capable of piercing through steel toward Gwen.

Gwen, like a cat, dodged effortlessly, even spinning more webs.

Namor glared furiously at the mass of webs Gwen had woven.

These spider webs were tough, sharp, and completely filled the room, so dense that even his trident couldn't break through.

Impressive! A mere human had pushed him to this point! If he didn't grant her a painful death, it would be a disrespect to himself!

"If that's how it's going to be!" Namor prepared to charge at Gwen, even if her webs sliced chunks of his flesh.

Suddenly, the moment he touched the webs, a barrage of needles shot toward him, forcing him to jump back in shock.

Out of nowhere, a theme song started playing.

"?"

Namor noticed Gwen standing on a pillar, looking at her... her muscles were terrifyingly defined.

It was like she'd stepped straight out of a shonen manga!

"This is..."

"That's right!"

"The webs I've woven are designed to activate the moment they're touched, completely surrounding you from every direction!"

"Now I can sense every single one of your movements!"

Gwen's words made Namor feel a familiar reference.

"Take this, NTR mermaid man!"

Immediately after, a storm of poisoned needles shot at Namor from all directions.

"Don't mess with me! The Leader, do it now!"

"But sir—"

"Do it NOW!!"

The Leader, hearing this, reluctantly pressed a red button.

Right after, a gem fell into Namor's hand, leaving Gwen bewildered.

"This is the Core of the Ocean, the very thing that boost my sea monster with infinite energy! Your time is up, you crazy woman!"

The Core of the Ocean began to glow, accompanied by Namor's triumphant smile.
