Chapter 292 - Chapter 292: A Celestial Dragon?

"Nani!!!"

It was always the same — the one thing you didn't want to encounter was the one thing that showed up. The Marines were completely frozen.

"Who's causing trouble?!!!"

"This is Duramos! Whoever dares to do this here must have a death wish!!!"

As the guests murmured among themselves, shocked at how reckless the troublemaker must be, someone who was closer to the commotion spread the news.

"It's... it's a Celestial Dragon! Looks like he's ordering his men to capture the Mermaid Princess from Fishman Island!!!"

The Marines were at a loss.

Especially Borsalino — the laid-back slacker's face turned increasingly complicated, mixed with hesitation.

But he didn't order his subordinates to act recklessly. Instead, he decided to check the situation first. When he got close enough, he finally saw what was happening.

"Wonderful! Wonderful!!! To think I've caught such a big, beautiful mermaid! I'll build a massive fish tank and keep her in it!!!"

The dim-witted voice came from a Celestial Dragon wearing a white space-suit-like outfit, his face full of twisted joy.

A Celestial Dragon... That was far beyond the Marines' authority to handle.

"Clear the crowd. This kind of matter should be handled by people who can actually handle it."

Borsalino's expression was one of practiced indifference, his perverted grin curling as he casually directed the Marines to drive the nobles away.

He looked carefree, but in truth, his goal was to prevent innocent bystanders from getting caught up in trouble — to protect them.

But Doll didn't understand that.

Still young, she'd never had to deal with a Celestial Dragon before. To her, such actions had to be stopped — even if the perpetrators had "divine" privileges.

Yet the moment she approached, a group of men in black suits from CP immediately surrounded her.

Their expressions were full of arrogance. To them, these awe-inspiring Marines were nothing more than dogs of the World Government.

Blocked, Doll instinctively raised her fist, Armament Haki coiling around it.

But before she could act—

Shu-shu-shu!

Golden light gathered before her, forming a tall figure.

Borsalino, his grin still in place, stood straight in front of Doll. His sunglasses reflected the light, hiding his eyes, but his intent was clear.

"Rear Admiral Doll, you can't act without orders, you know~"

Seeing the man before her — hands in his pockets, casual as ever — Doll broke out in a cold sweat.

Monster Borsalino…

He was her commanding officer for this mission, and rumor had it he was already being considered for a promotion to Admiral — a monster in every sense.

"Damn it..."

With him standing in the way, Doll couldn't do anything but watch helplessly as the giant mermaid girl was chained up by the Celestial Dragon's men.

"If only Orin-san were here!!!"

That was the first thought that surfaced in her mind as she faced the overwhelming power gap.

And not just hers — everyone watching this pitiful scene prayed silently for that man to arrive.

"Marines! Have you even thought about what Orin-san would say if he saw you doing this on Duramos Island!!!"

Neptune roared furiously as he was held back by Marine officers, while beside him, Queen Otohime wept as Marines restrained her.

But the Marines remained unmoved.

When a Celestial Dragon caused trouble, Orin-san would handle it — but until then, no one was allowed to resist or harm a Celestial Dragon.

That was the rule of the World Government.

Their actions were not just to protect the Celestial Dragons, but also to protect the guests and civilians on the island.

"Damn it... But who knows when Orin-san will arrive!!!"

"Uuu... Shirahoshi, my poor little daughter..."

At that moment—

A figure came racing from the distance, heading straight for the Celestial Dragon.

"Enemy spotted!!?"

"Alert!!!"

"Open fire!!!"

The suited guards immediately aimed their guns to shoot the intruder dead on the spot.

But before they could fire, the leader — a man in a white robe, part of the highest CP organization, CP0 — finally saw who the intruder was.

And when he did, his pupils nearly dilated out of his skull. In panic, he used Soru to dash forward.

He knew that figure all too well.

It was none other than a living legend—

A great figure from the Dotor family!!!

In that instant, the CP0 agent felt the entire fate of the World Government, the Elders, and countless Celestial Dragons rest upon his shoulders.

Because the man before him was someone who could determine whether the seas would remain stable or fall into chaos.

Bang!

Ssshh...

The bullet spun, scraping across the CP0's body — but it was blocked.

"Idiot!!! Do you want the entire Holy Land to die with you!!!?"

The CP0's bloodshot eyes bulged as he screamed at the guard.

His outburst immediately drew everyone's attention.

And then — with a loud crash, the figure landed.

It was an elderly man — pale-faced but brimming with vigor.

He looked ordinary, but countless onlookers' pupils constricted in disbelief.

"Th-that's...!"

Fingers pointed, voices stammered.

"King Dotor Keek!!!"

"A pirate from the Rocks Era!!!"

"Grandfather of Black Gun!!!"

"A man once regarded as a king in his own right!!!"

Though his fame now rode partly on his grandson's reputation, the old Keek was still a name to be reckoned with among many factions.

Some even said that while you might live after offending the Black Emperor, crossing that old man was a death sentence.

Gasps filled the air. No one dared make a move. The commotion immediately caught the attention of the Celestial Dragon, Saint Rosward.

He turned to glare at the old man stealing his spotlight, his face twisting with annoyance.

"Who the hell is that old geezer?! Daring to steal my thunder! CP0!!! Kill him!!!"

Rosward stompedv in fury, but none of the CP agents moved — their faces pale as they recognized who it was.

Keek, on the other hand, raised his fist and looked at Rosward, Armament Haki coiling around it.

"Don't talk big, brat..."

"Back in God Valley, I killed more Celestial Dragons like you than I can count!!!"
