Chapter 302 - Chapter 302: Orin’s Dragon Capture Portrait?

The previous clash between Roger and the young Whitebeard had been monumental—yet what unfolded now was even more outrageous.

Back then, those two had still been wary of their own crews and hadn't unleashed their full power.

But this time was different.

Orin and Kaido, both drunk and fired up, were going all out—two entirely different kinds of villains, each hell-bent on forcing the other to submit.

Kaido was thrilled beyond measure. Fighting a strong opponent he recognized as an equal, and learning that Orin also shared his love for dragging the world into massive wars—it sent shivers of excitement through every fiber of his being.

Orin, meanwhile, found the whole thing amusing. With a smirk tugging at his lips, the drunken man simply wanted to beat Kaido half to death and then take a photo riding his dragon horns.

Did the two actually have a grudge?

Not really—it was merely the pull between the strong.

The black-and-red shockwave, imbued with spatial annihilation and the destructive force of Conqueror's Haki Infusion, surged forward, colliding head-on with the sky-dwelling divine beast—a colossal flaming dragon.

At the point of impact, a blinding light burst forth, dazzling beyond belief!

The eardrum-shattering explosion spread outward in waves, with endless shockwaves sweeping across the ground, the forests, the mountains...

Everything in their path was rendered fragile and insignificant. The force of their clash was like a Tsar Bomba detonating, instantly clearing the once-clouded skies.

The aftershock, centered around the outskirts, continued expanding toward the Flower Capital, erasing everything in its path.

Two beings—just two—had unleashed such devastation that half the Flower Capital was reduced to rubble, turned into a wasteland in an instant.

"Ka-ka-ka..."

Queen, hanging in the air and barely avoiding the aftermath thanks to King gripping his mechanical arm, stared at the overwhelming scene below. His eyes bulged several centimeters from their sockets, and he didn't even notice the snot dripping from his nose.

He opened his mouth wide, yet words refused to come out.

"The aftermath of their collision in midair... actually destroyed half a city..."

"Is this... something humans can even do?!!"

Queen had no doubt—if that clash had taken place on the ground, it wouldn't just be the Flower Capital's problem.

Half of Wano would've been wiped off the map!

And Wano wasn't small. The Flower Capital alone, its main city, was larger than many small nations.

Even if Duramos Island were placed here, it wouldn't measure up to half of it.

"Ga—!"

The Seagull King, too, gawked with its beak wide open, cold sweat streaming down its feathered face. The faint trace of Conqueror's Haki Infusion it had been exuding instantly vanished.

Clearly, this scene had shattered the very core of its birdly worldview.

"Orin... Kaido-sama..."

Flying high as a black-armored, pterosaur-like figure, King's crimson eyes locked tightly on the epicenter of the cataclysm.

...

As the smoke and dust slowly dissipated, the powerful shockwave had swept away the debris, clearing the field.

When the blinding light and roaring flames dimmed at last, everyone could finally see the center.

There, in the bottomless pit directly below where the attacks had met —it looked like a meteor strike had carved out a colossal crater.

Everyone's eyes turned toward the middle, where clouds of dust still lingered.

Gradually, a silhouette became visible through the haze.

Ssshh...

"Hoo~"

The Seagull King didn't react much to the sound, but Queen's jaw dropped, and King's bloodshot eyes went wide in shock.

The figure revealed within the crater was that of a tall, handsome man with long black hair.

His upper body was bare, one leg crossed casually over the other. With one hand shielding his face from the wind, he lit a cigar.

And beneath him... was a giant dragon, lying limp, its mouth wide open, eyes rolled back —a blue dragon, covered in grievous wounds!!!

"That kinda hurt, you know... Cute little thing."

Orin chuckled softly, sitting atop the dragon's head, one hand resting lazily on a horn as smoke trailed from his lips.

Of course, he wasn't completely unscathed himself.

A few visible cuts hadn't fully healed yet. After all, he had gone all out to beat Kaido half to death—his focus was on the fight, not on regenerating.

He certainly didn't believe Kaido's attack could lull him to sleep.

So it was rare—Orin wasn't perfectly unharmed this time. Blood streaked his body and the corner of his mouth, though most of the wounds had already been patched up by his Warp-Warp Fruit. He simply looked a little roughed up.

The Seagull King was the first to react. Transforming back into his normal form with a camera hanging from his neck, he flew up before Orin, pointing uncertainly at the device.

"Ga?" (Should I still take the photo?)

Usually, aside from serving as a mount, mook exterminator, or weather adjuster, the Seagull King's main duty was recording Orin's life.

But the Orin he followed was always perfectly composed, elegant, untouchable. Seeing him wounded and bloodied, the bird hesitated.

"It's fine~"

Orin didn't mind at all. He wasn't an idol, and he had no reason to care about his image. With a grin, he raised his fingers in a peace sign—

"Click!"

The camera captured the moment.

Orin's Dragon Capture Portrait.

Admiring the photo, Orin tucked it away. He didn't plan to publish it—just a personal keepsake.

Meanwhile, as the Seagull King snapped pictures beside him, King and Queen began arguing.

King's eyes were bloodshot, the flames on his back roaring ever higher, while Queen stammered in fear.

"H-hey, hey!!! You torture freak! Don't tell me you're planning to—"

King's voice was cold and firm.

"Of course. We're going to rescue Kaido-sama!"

"Eh!!!???"

Queen thrashed wildly, but King held him in a steel grip.

"Going there won't do anything!!! We'll just die for nothing! Even Kaido-sama—"

He trailed off, glancing toward Orin.

Even Kaido, their invincible boss, was lying there half-dead, while the man known as [Black Gun] stood there as if nothing had happened. There was no way they stood a chance!

Fortunately, Orin had no intention of doing anything to them.

Though he'd always found Kaido annoying in the games, the guy's silly personality wasn't something he particularly hated. As for King—well, Orin did think that black armor of his looked pretty cool.

Without making things difficult, he simply stood up and patted the dust off.

"Hey, you two..."

"If you want Kaido's life spared, trade me a samurai for it."
