Chapter 16 - chapter 15

*Chapter — The Stream of Yako*

Iyan wished deeply, and so did Akinu — both longed to uncover the truth of Amoni and iyango love. Their journey led them to a sacred stream known as *Yako*, a place believed to hold the very essence of love and separation. The yako Stream was a symbol — a stream that carried the memories of Amoni's heartbreak and iyango devotion.

As iyan approached the stream, she saw a stunning maiden with glowing skin, bathing peacefully in the water. Just as iyan was about to cross, the maiden turned to her and said, "Welcome to the sea, where the love of iyango and Amoni was born... and where it was broken."

Iyango was stunned by the maiden's words and gentle voice. She asked her, "Who are you?"

The maiden replied, "I am the spirit of the water. Anyone who touches this stream touches a piece of Yago and Amoni. When they bathed here, their love echoed through the flow. This water holds Amoni's tears, shed the day she was forbidden to marry iyango"

She continued, "Amoni was a beautiful serpent spirit with a pure heart. She fell in love with iyango, a warrior of light. Their love was powerful, but their families rejected it. One day, war broke out — a war that separated them forever."

"In the battle, Amoni was wounded. Her power faded as she lay bleeding beneath the stars. And before her spirit was taken to the moon, she cast her last wish into this water. Since then, the iyango Stream holds her sorrow, her strength, and the final breath of her love."

"Few dare to enter this water," the maiden whispered. "For it carries the weight of a love that defied both earth and spirit."

That is how the tale of iyango and Amoni became known — a love too strong to be forgotten, yet too cursed to fully bloom.
