"Hope I'm not dreaming, because I met my wife in the church, as a pure woman of virtue, and this story, she never mentioned it to me", Abiola spoke heartbroken.
"Church, you met her in the church, that's why she is a saint, ba?". Cliton mocked.
His mother entered. She was still mad to talk to his son, but looking at them, she could see that something was wrong, especially as Purple was crying. She called Cliton out to a corner to highlight to her what the issue is.
"You lived this kind of life, and just when you feel you needed a good man, you entered the church with decent clothes. Why am I your victim?"
"I'm very sorry, my love, I'm not the same person anymore, I've changed." Purple knelt in front of her husband.
"Girl, you tricked me….. getting married to you was a prank, you faked the pregnancy and miscarriage, right?"
"I'm sorry, your mother didn't approve of me. I needed to do something so we could be together."
"Doctor, concerning the abortion stuff, can anything be done?" Abiola asked the doctor. He was heartbroken, especially being in the dark for so long, but the truth is that Purple had set him up; the car he drives, the house, his job, all came because of her.
"Over my dead body, nothing can be done; the marriage is over. I have always known she is a snake in green grass." Abiola's mother shouted and made her way into their bedroom.
"The scar tissue has likely been preventing implantation…We may try a procedure to remove the scar tissue, and hormone treatment to help the womb heal… but it won't be easy. We'll do everything we can."
Purple felt like the walls were closing in. Her mind spun with regret, anger, and confusion. She looked at her husband, blinking back the tears. The truth had finally come out, and she knew his mother would succeed this time.
Shortly, his mother came out, dragging along Purple's bags in anger. Purple wailed, calling on Abiola to intervene, but even Cliton helped his friens's mother in throwing her bag outside. Just then, she knew the game was over.
