Uchiha Police Station,
Upon arriving at the Konoha Police Force station, Kanzou personally sealed Minato's chakra. It was only then that Minato sensed something was truly wrong.
"Why are you sealing my chakra?" Minato asked, frowning.
With his chakra suppressed, his strength was all but gone. A wave of unease crept through him. Chakra was vital to a shinobi. While Minato's taijutsu was decent, it wasn't his strongest point; it was his ninjutsu and speed attained with Body Flicker Jutsu that made him formidable.
With his Chakra sealed, he couldn't use either… which made him feel vulnerable.
"It's standard procedure at the Konoha Police Force," Shin said calmly. "Everyone gets their chakra sealed."
Shin approached Kanzou and asked in a low voice, "Patriarch, shall we give him special treatment?"
Since the person was brought in by the patriarch himself, Shin assumed he must have offended Kanzou. He was asking whether they should rough up his pretty boy face a bit.
"No need," Kanzou replied calmly. "Just keep him locked up in the cell for now. Give him proper food and everything. There's no need for anything else—just make sure he doesn't escape."
"Don't worry, Patriarch. Once someone ends up here, they're not going anywhere," Shin assured him.
"Still, don't underestimate him," Kanzou warned. "He may be young, but he's not ordinary."
Although Namikaze Minato's chakra had been sealed, the Jutsu used was nowhere near the level of the Uzumaki clan's Fuinjutsu.
Kanzou wasn't sure whether Minato had learned the Uzumaki Clan's Fuinjutsu. If he had, there was a chance he might be able to break the Fuinjutsu sealing his Chakra on his own.
After all, Minato was destined to become the Yondaime Hokage.
Though still somewhat inexperienced, because of his young age, he was not someone to underestimate.
Kanzou knew better than to be careless—he didn't want things to fall apart due to a simple oversight.
In too many stories, the protagonist shows up just in time to save the heroine.
Namikaze Minato certainly has the template of a hero, with Uchiha Kanzou being the big bad villain.
Knowing this, he, the big bad villain, had no intention of letting the hero come at the last moment to save the beauty… The boy has already done so once… and that should be enough for him for a lifetime… it was now the villain's turn to take advantage of the beauty and let her fall into being a tragic heroine the hero couldn't save.
Looking at Minato's back, who was being taken away, Kanzou thought deviously, 'Kukuku. Namikaze Minato… I wonder what kind of face you'll make once you learn what's about to happen to your precious Uzumaki Kushina-chan…'
…
After temporarily imprisoning Namikaze Minato, Kanzou was ready to return.
He hoped Mikoto wouldn't let him down.
Just as he was about to leave the Police Force headquarters, he ran into Jiraiya being dragged back from the streets.
"Uchiha Kanzou, are you planning to harm Kushina?" the battered Jiraiya questioned, his voice laced with anger.
Kanzou gave him a clueless expression. "What are you talking about, Jiraiya-sama? Why would I want to harm Uzumaki Kushina?"
"Don't play dumb!" Jiraiya snapped. "You know very well Kushina is the Nine Tails' Jinchūriki. If you dare lay a finger on her, Konoha won't forgive you!"
He glared fiercely, filled with rage toward someone who so casually feigned ignorance.
"She's the Nine-Tails' Jinchūriki?" Kanzou blinked in mock surprise, then looked at Jiraiya and said, "Are you sure you should be telling someone like me such an important secret?"
Looking at Kanzou, Jiraiya, for a moment, wondered if he really made a mistake, and Kanzou had no idea about Kushina's identity as Jinchūriki.
Meanwhile, Kanzou gave a casual shrug. "I'll pretend I didn't hear anything…"
Then, in a calm but icy voice, Kanzou added, "Putting that aside, Jiraiya-sama… you're a notorious pervert who spies on women while they bathe. Even very young women — even children — are among those you watch. Tsk tsk. Watching little girls bathe… are you sure you aren't distantly related to people like Diddy and Epstein?"
Jiraiya froze. Conversations in the police station stopped; everyone turned and stared. Their looks were heavy with scorn. To be accused of sneaking into a women's bathhouse — especially to watch children — was a nasty charge, and it landed hard.
He didn't know who Kanzou meant by Diddy and Epstein, but the implication rankled. Jiraiya was an orphan; he had no family ties to speak of, neither close nor distant… and he was not that sort of person.
Still, the word little girls in the accusation stung.
"I don't peek at little girls," Jiraiya protested.
Kanzou paid him no heed and snorted, "So you say… but is that really the truth?"
Jiraiya had no way to defend himself. The accusation of peeking into women's bathhouses was true—accurate enough that any denial would only sound hollow. Even if he hadn't paid attention to little girls, how could he possibly refute it when both old and young bathed there?
Seeing him cornered and helpless, Kanzou chuckled. Leaning close to his ear, he murmured in a low, threatening voice, "Keep slandering me or interfering with my interests, and you'll only end up with a longer sentence for far worse crimes. So… tread carefully, P. Jiraiya-sama~"
With that, Kanzou turned and walked away.
Afterwards, Jiraiya was thrown into a prison cell, deliberately separated from Namikaze Minato. Kanzou had specifically ordered that they not be held together.
By now, Jiraiya was absolutely certain that Kanzou was plotting something involving Kushina.
He didn't know exactly what Kanzou intended, but he suspected it had to do with the Nine Tails, even if Kanzou denied having known of Kushina being a Jinchūriki; he still couldn't shake the thought.
However, what Jiraiya didn't realise was that Kanzou wasn't particularly interested in the Nine Tails itself. In Kanzou's eyes, the Nine-Tails was insignificant compared to Uzumaki Kushina.
It's not that the Nine-Tails was weak—after all, it was the strongest of the tailed beasts and served as the ultimate plug-in for Uzumaki Naruto in the original story.
But in the face of the Mangekyō Sharingan, the Nine-Tails is completely helpless.
If it dared to show itself before Kanzou, he could, and most certainly would, control it on the spot without hesitation.
When Uchiha Obito could control the Nine Tails with just a single Mangekyō Sharingan, how could Kanzou, who possessed a complete pair, not be able to do the same?
Of course, controlling the Nine Tails isn't easy.
Unlike Obito, Kanzou hasn't transplanted Senju Hashirama's cells, so he can't use his Mangekyō Sharingan recklessly.
Hashirama's cells are like a universal cheat code in the Shinobi World—they offer countless benefits, including counteracting the Mangekyō Sharingan's side effects, such as excessive chakra drain and eventual blindness.
While they can replenish Mangekyō Sharingan's visual prowess, Kanzou never once considered implanting them.
The risks were simply too great—if something went wrong, it could cost him his life. Worse still, he could end up with a grotesque face tattoo branded onto his body.
Tattooing the face of Senju Hashirama might have been acceptable to the likes of Madara or Danzō, but for Kanzou, it was out of the question.
No matter what, implanting those cells was not an option.
Besides, Kanzou can gain power through the system, so there's no need to endanger himself with such a procedure.
"It's time to go home… but before that, there is still something that needs to be taken care of," murmured Kanzou as he walked out of the Police Force Office and made his way to the Uchiha Compound.
…
Outside the Uchiha Compound,
"You—!"
A startled voice rang out from the rooftop of a nearby house—before the masked ANBU fell into a dazed stupor.
"That takes care of that…" Kanzou murmured, deactivating his Sharingan.
He had just cast a Genjutsu on the ANBU operative assigned to tail Kushina—one of the guards responsible for monitoring her every move. Officially, it was to just ensure her safety, but that was just part of their duties… aside from 'ensuring her safety,' these ANBUs are also responsible for keeping tabs on everyone she interacts with and to make sure she doesn't get too close to anyone she shouldn't.
Personally, Kanzou didn't care much about the ANBU assigned to monitor Kushina.
But today was different—he couldn't allow them to continue their surveillance.
After all, Kushina was going to be spending the night in his bedroom.
Naturally, he couldn't risk word of that reaching the Hokage halfway through the night.
Because if the Hokage found out that the Nine-Tails' Jinchūriki was staying overnight in the Uchiha Compound, that too at his mansion, no matter how much it pained him, he would come and try to take her away—driven by fear rather than reason.
And Kanzou had no intention of letting that happen.
He didn't want any interruptions.
That's why using Genjutsu to take control of the ANBU watching over Kushina was the most efficient option.
With the under his control, it's up to him what information concerning Kushina reaches the Hokage and what not.
As Kanzou deactivated his Sharingan, Hazuki appeared before him and dropped to one knee.
"Kanzou-sama… the remaining ANBU tailing Uzumaki Kushina are also under control," she reported.
"Good. Make sure there are no interruptions," Kanzou ordered.
"Understood," Hazuki replied with a nod, then added in a reluctant, envious tone, "I wish you… a pleasant night…"
Naturally, she knew exactly what was about to happen—and it made her very jealous… How much she hopes to be in that woman's place… but… Kanzou doesn't seem to show any intentions towards her… and this made her very envious…
Kanzou looked at Hazuki.
Of course, he could read her thoughts… But even with that, he could only shrug, 'It's still too early for you…'
Hazuki was still quite young, younger even than Kushina, which made Kanzou reluctant to push her down just yet.
'Yeah, it's best if she ripens a little more…' he thought, shifting his gaze away from Hazuki.
He would eventually have her, too, just as he had once taken her mother.
Kanzou had no qualms about it—especially considering that Hazuki had been groomed to be his loyal subordinate from a very young age.
For her to one day offer him her body was, in both their eyes, nothing more than a matter of course.
But that day was still a little further off.
'For now… It's Uzumaki Kushina-chan's turn,' Kanzou mused with a grin, adding to himself, 'I only hope eating her will be worth it.'
From Mikoto, he had gained the Mangekyō Sharingan and 130,000 Evil Points. It was no small sum, and so Kanzou hoped Kushina would yield something just as valuable.
Maybe I'll be able to obtain the Uzumaki Physique from Kushina-chan? he wondered, before questioning the System directly: System, will I get the Uzumaki Physique from Uzumaki Kushina?
[Ding, host… rewards cannot be announced before the completion of the evil act. You are free to speculate, but I cannot give any confirmation.]
'Is that so?' Kanzou thought, not particularly bothered, he still felt confident that his guess was right.
In fact, even if the System didn't reward him much, she would still be worth it, for no other reason than she was the fiery redhead herself.
'Fufu~ Mikoto should have done what was needed by now… It's time I head back home…' Chuckling, Kanzou cast one last look at Hazuki before vanishing from the rooftop.
