Later that day, Sarutobi Shinnosuke stood again in the Hokage Office, his expression somewhat hesitant yet also full of determination.

"What are you here for now? If it's about Kurama Uroko again… then don't waste time. I have already stated that Kurama Uroko will continue with her mission…" Hiruzen stated directly, not wanting another pointless discussion and confrontation about a matter that had already been put into motion.

Shinnosuke was obviously angry to hear his father so unconcerned about sending his white moonlight into such a dangerous mission, but he controlled his emotions and, instead of bringing up the matter concerning Uroko, he said something else. "That's not why I am here. I am here because I want the scroll of a Jutsu…"

"A Jutsu?" Hiruzen was surprised by his son's demand. Not expecting him to suddenly want the scroll of a Jutsu. But then he was confused. "Aren't almost all the Jutsu available in the archive at the study back home?"

As the Patriarch of the Sarutobi Clan, Hiruzen's study back at his home has countless Jutsu stored there, and Shinnosuke, being his eldest son, has access to those Jutsu. He can check every Jutsu, yet he came to him to demand a Jutsu… this can only mean one thing.

"The Jutsu I want is not in the study," Shinnosuke stated. "It's in the Scroll of Seals…"

'As expected,' thought Hiruzen. He had already guessed that Shinnosuke was after a Jutsu from the Scroll of Seals.

Concerning this matter, whether as a father, the Patriarch of the Sarutobi Clan, or the Sandaime Hokage of Konoha, he is not opposed to Shinnosuke wanting to learn a Jutsu from the Scroll of Seals.

If it had been anyone else wanting to learn a Jutsu from the Scroll of Seals, he'd not be so accommodating, as Jutsus from the Scroll of Seals can only be obtained through merits and trust. If the user lacks enough merits and isn't trustworthy enough, they won't receive any Jutsu from that scroll, regardless of how talented they are. But Shinnosuke is his son after all; therefore, Hiruzen wasn't too concerned and directly questioned, "Which one?"

"The Flying Raijin Jutsu," Shinnosuke answered.

Shinnosuke's response made Hiruzen freeze. "You want... the Flying Raijin Jutsu?" he questioned.

"Yes," nodded Shinnosuke.

Raising an eyebrow, he asked, "Why do you suddenly want that jutsu…?"

"I… I want to learn it," Shinnosuke lied. It was obvious that he couldn't reveal the truth about why he wanted the Flying Raijin Jutsu.

Telling his father that he was exchanging it to join the Police Force in order to ensure Uroko's safety would only get him scolded and not get the scroll, so he decided to lie and say that he wanted to learn the Jutsu himself.

He believes that when it comes to him wanting to learn the Flying Raijin Jutsu, Hiruzen wouldn't refuse.

Of course, even when he obtains the scroll, he isn't going to give Kanzou the scroll as it is. That would be an incredibly foolish thing to do.

Although he doesn't think that Kanzou would be able to master the Flying Raijin Jutsu, which no one has been able to learn apart from Nidaime Hokage, its original creator, still, Shinnosuke isn't stupid enough to hand over the scroll to Kanzou. He plans to give a tampered scroll to Kanzou, fooling him into thinking that it's the original Jutsu.

With the tampered scroll, there's no way Kanzou would ever be able to master the Jutsu, and he can only blame himself for not having the talent for it.

Anyway, his objective of joining the Police Force would be completed, and he can protect his White Moonlight.

That's his plan.

"You want to learn it? Haven't you tried to learn that Jutsu three times already and given up each time?" Hiruzen frowned.

Shinnosuke wanting to learn the Flying Raijin wasn't anything new. On three previous occasions, he tried to learn the Flying Raijin Jutsu and gave up each time. It was becoming a yearly ritual at this point.

"That… that was in the past. This time, I am serious, and I will definitely learn it," said Shinnosuke, his face flushing with embarrassment upon being reminded of his three failed attempts.

Hearing Shinnosuke, Hiruzen was silent for a while before responding, "...If you are serious this time, then first complete the basic requirements, which is the mastery of Fuinjutsu… once you complete it, I will give you the scroll of Flying Raijin."

To master Flying Raijin, mastery of Fuinjutsu is one of the many necessities.

Without mastery of advanced Fuinjutsu, it's a fool's dream to want to learn Flying Raijin.

In fact, on all three occasions that Shinnosuke has given up mastering the Flying Raijin, he has actually given up at the very early stage of learning Fuinjutsu.

Shinnosuke has no talent for Fuinjutsu, and he also doesn't have the drive to stubbornly sit and learn that ninja art, which involves having to carry out advanced calculations and other things. Shinnosuke's mind just isn't that sharp and calculating… his mind is more of the type that is suited for flashy, powerful Jutsu, not the Jutsu that are highly technical.

In simple terms, Shinnosuke is sort of a musclehead… in such a situation, mastering Fuinjutsu is very difficult for him, and wanting to learn Flying Raijin is almost impossible.

Of course, if Shinnosuke still wants to learn that Jutsu, Hiruzen wouldn't refuse it. If it were anyone else, he'd have refused, but since it's his own son, he isn't refusing. Still, he first wants Shinnosuke to complete the basic requirements.

If his son can fulfill that requirement, he'll give the scroll of Flying Raijin to Shinnosuke. If not, then Shinnosuke can forget about obtaining the Scroll of Flying Raijin.

Shinnosuke, although frustrated with that answer, could only agree. "…Fine." He said.

He had no way of arguing and demanding the scroll of Flying Raijin first. He knew that unless he completed the other Fuinjutsu requirement, he'd not be given the scroll of Flying Raijin, which left him annoyed.

He turned around, leaving the Hokage Office while thinking to himself, 'I have to figure out some other way of obtaining the scroll of Flying Raijin Jutsu…'

As for mastering the Fuinjutsu and then obtaining the scroll of Flying Raijin? He knows that he is not talented in that field. He has already tried to master Fuinjutsu on three previous instances, each time making no progress, so he wasn't going to waste any time on that and tried to think of other ways…

...

A while later, Shinnosuke was back at the Hokage Office.

Hiruzen, who had been reviewing some documents, paused and looked up at his eldest son with a raised eyebrow. "What is it now?"

Shinnosuke hesitated for a moment before demanding, "I want the Scroll of Spiritualization Jutsu."

"Spiritualization Jutsu? But weren't you going to learn the Flying Raijin seriously?" questioned Hiruzen with a frown.

Just a while ago, Shinnosuke wanted the scroll of Flying Raijin; now he wants the Scroll of Spiritualization Jutsu? What's going on?

"I… I had a change of mind. I want to learn the Spiritualization Jutsu!" he lied.

Hiruzen stared at his son with a frown, obviously sensing something amiss. Shinnosuke suddenly wanting to learn Flying Raijin isn't all that surprising. This has become a yearly ritual where he'd want to learn Flying Raijin but give up only a few days later… However, that wasn't the case with the Spiritualization Jutsu. Never before had Shinnosuke shown any interest in that Jutsu. And this sudden shift left Hiruzen surprised and suspicious.

'Is he trying to suddenly and quickly become stronger?' Hiruzen wondered. This had to be the case. He felt strongly.

Shinnosuke was previously humiliated by Kanzou and was clamoring to get even… and now that Uroko has been sent by Hiruzen to spy on Kanzou… this has left Shinnosuke anxious about Uroko's safety. If Uroko is in danger, then Shinnosuke might not be able to do much with his current abilities, and that's probably why he might be looking for ways through which he can protect Uroko.

Flying Raijin could be used for that, and Spiritualization Jutsu can also be used for that.

Hiruzen really thought that this must be the case, and thought, 'Even if he is doing this to protect Kurama Uroko, I suppose him trying to get stronger may not be a bad thing.'

In a way, this was advantageous and a good thing. Regardless of the reason, if Shinnosuke becomes stronger, then whether as a father, as the Patriarch of the Sarutobi Clan, or the Hokage of Konoha, Hiruzen would be happy.

It's a pity that things were not exactly what he thought they were. While Shinnosuke was indeed demanding these Jutsu to protect Uroko, the purpose wasn't to learn them himself, but rather to give the tampered version of Flying Raijin to Kanzou.

But Hiruzen, who didn't know the truth, relented and decided to give his son the scroll of the Spiritualization Jutsu despite not being very confident in Shinnosuke's ability to learn such technical Jutsu.

Let alone Shinnosuke, even he, the Sandaime Hokage, hasn't been able to master the Spiritualization Jutsu, so he is more unsure of his son's ability to master it, but he didn't stop his eldest from trying.

"Wait here…" said Hiruzen as he got up to go to the other room and bring over the Scroll of Spiritualization Jutsu after copying it from the Scroll of Sealing.

"I will come too… I want to see if there are any other Jutsu in the Scroll of Sealing that I can learn…" said Shinnosuke and followed Hiruzen.

Hiruzen paused and looked at Shinnosuke with a frown.

"What? Can't I?" asked Shinnosuke, sweating a little, wondering if he was going to be turned down. If he got turned down, then his plan would fail.

"Learn one Jutsu first… and only then think about any other Jutsu," said Hiruzen sternly.

"I'll only be taking a look…" replied Shinnosuke.

"…" Hiruzen stared silently at his son before relenting. "Fine…" Since it was his son demanding this, he decided to let him follow.

'Thankfully, the old man isn't too suspicious of me,' Shinnosuke was relieved and followed after Hiruzen.

Soon, they arrived at an area of the Hokage Building that is restricted to all but the Hokage, thanks to the sealing barrier preventing all entries. If not for his identity, he'd not be able to come here ever.

But because he is the son of the Hokage, Hiruzen allowed him to pass through the barrier as he made sure to closely watch and memorize the hand seals needed to pass through the barrier that his father had made, and then stepped inside.

'I have to make sure that I don't forget the hand signs…' he thought, and followed Hiruzen until they were face to face with the Scroll of Sealing kept in the center of the room.

Hiruzen picked it up and unlocked the seal with specific hand signs that Shinnosuke made sure to once again watch closely and memorize. Once the Scroll was unfolded, Hiruzen began to make a copy of the Spiritualization Jutsu on an empty Scroll.

Using that opportunity, Shinnosuke tried to see other Seals on the Scroll and if he could see the Seal of the Flying Raijin Jutsu. It's a pity that he could only see the names of the Jutsu and that's it… Other information wasn't visible… still, he managed to recall the area where the information of the Flying Raijin Jutsu was sealed, and that was enough for now.

"Did you see any other Jutsu that you want to learn?" questioned Hiruzen.

"Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags sounds good…" Shinnosuke said, recalling the name of one Jutsu.

"It's a Jutsu that can only be used under certain conditions… forget about that…" Hiruzen refused directly since that Jutsu was mainly developed to be used by the Edo Tensei. There was no need for Shinnosuke to master that Jutsu.

Shinnosuke pouted in dissatisfaction but didn't care. He had achieved his purpose by obtaining the Spiritualization Jutsu and taking the scroll. He left the Hokage Office, returning to his home, where he unfolded the scroll and tried to seriously study the Jutsu.

In fact, he didn't demand the Scroll of Spiritualization Jutsu randomly. He had a clear motive behind demanding this particular Jutsu. One of those motives was to study it.

Indeed, he was going to master the Spiritualization Jutsu.

"Once I learn the Spiritualization Ninjutsu, I can get rid of Uchiha Kanzou for good…" he murmured and planned to use this Jutsu to get his revenge on Kanzou, and for that reason, he began to seriously study it.

Soon, several hours passed… as Shinnosuke angrily threw away the scroll on the wall.

"It's too complex…" he said in frustration, unable to understand most of the stuff that the scroll was explaining. He felt his head throb in pain, and feeling irritated, he lit a cigarette.

Exhaling smoke, he murmured, "Haaah… why did it have to be so complex?"

Just after a few hours of study, he felt unsure if he was ever going to be able to master this Jutsu, and already felt like it was a waste of time, as this Jutsu was probably not made for him.

As he lamented the difficulty of the Jutsu all while smoking, he noticed that it was dark outside. He turned towards the clock and realized that it was already past midnight.

"This is the moment!!" he immediately stood up and, after making some preparations, secretly left his home, making his way to the Hokage Building.

Having been to the Hokage Building countless times, he knows the ins and outs, the areas where the ANBU might be, and so on. Plus, with his identity as the son of the Hokage, it wasn't that difficult for him to bypass most people and protection and then arrive at the restricted area.

"Hokage-sama?" The ANBU guarding the restricted area were surprised to see Hiruzen arrive there late at night.

"Good work… I just needed to take a look at something," Shinnosuke, using the transformation Jutsu to appear as Hiruzen, walked in straight while waving the memorized hand signs and stepped inside.

Since it was the Hokage himself who stepped inside by opening the barrier, the ANBU didn't say anything and allowed him to step inside.

Soon, he was standing in front of the Scroll of Sealing kept over a platform.

"Now I only need to copy the Jutsu, and then I can leave," he murmured, looking at that very Scroll.

Indeed, this was his plan behind asking for the Scroll of Spiritualization Jutsu in the evening. Although it's true that he plans to learn that Jutsu, the main reason is actually to memorize the codes to enter the restricted area and access the Scroll of Sealing even without the permission of the Hokage.

Now, all he needs to do is copy the details of the Flying Raijin Jutsu. Then he can hand over the tampered scroll to Kanzou and join the Police Force.

With that in mind, he unceremoniously picked up the scroll and weaved the hand signs from his memory to unlock it.

But, different from the barrier restriction that he managed to pass through very easily simply by weaving the hand signs from his memory, things went differently when he tried to unlock the Scroll of Sealing.

Rather than the scroll getting unlocked as it should have, several chains shot out from the scroll and wrapped around him before he could react, trapping his hands and feet, restraining him.

"W-what is this? What happened?" Shinnosuke was unable to figure it out. Obviously, he had used the correct hand signs from his memories, the same ones that his father had used to unlock the scroll… so how come instead of opening, the scroll ended up shooting out chains and capturing him?

"Did I make a mistake?" he thought… and then shook his head. "No… I used the same signs, so how come?!"

But now wasn't the time to wonder about that; now he had to escape from here because if he got caught here… then that'd be very bad… very… very bad!

He tried to break the chains with his strength enhanced by Chakra, only to find that his Chakra had become inaccessible!

"Wh-what?" he was taken aback and realized that the situation was very bad.

Just as he was wondering what he was going to do to escape here… suddenly footsteps came running in and his face paled. "It's over… it's over…!"

It really was over because the person who came running in was none other than his father. Stepping inside the room, Hiruzen exclaimed, finding the person restrained inside the restriction section to be none other than his eldest son. "Shinnosuke… you…!"

Because the chains restraining him had also been lifted, the transformation Jutsu had also been lifted, so Hiruzen was able to directly see that it was none other than his very own son restrained there, and was stunned.

"What the hell are you doing here?" he questioned loudly, his voice filled with anger.

"Otou-san... it's… it's not what it looks like…" Shinnosuke said with a fearful tone. "I… I was just… just…" he trailed off, unable to explain the situation.

In the first place, how to explain why he was in this restricted area? Why did he try to open the Scroll of Sealing in the middle of the night while disguised as his father?

There was simply nothing to explain.

Everything was clear enough to understand.

He, Sarutobi Shinnosuke, tried to disguise himself as his father, the Sandaime Hokage, and tried to access the Scroll of Sealing that cannot be accessed by anyone other than the Hokage!

It's an illegal act, a crime to access the Scroll of Sealing without the Hokage's permission.

And he was caught carrying out this crime!

'Damn it!' he clicked his tongue.
