Chapter 116 - We have to save her

Tristan's POV

I walked out in the opposite direction to meet up with Aven and Damon. We walked to the basketball court, which had always been our best place in the school.

"Here he comes, we thought that you would never be done with literature classes today," Damon called out, as he threw the basketball he had in his hand to the floor.

Aven followed Damon's eyes towards me. "Maybe classes took longer, or their boring teacher refused to leave the class," Aven added.

"What if that wasn't the case? Maybe I was busy with something far more important," I said

"Like what? Like being the best literature student," Damon joked.

"Mel was rushed to the hospital last night. She had attempted suicide. Aria has decided to go visit her alone," I blurted, changing the conversation, and suddenly their faces turned grave.

"How did you let that happen?" Aven asked, tension crawling in every word.
