Chapter 267 - The dinner meeting

Andria's POV

"I don't think I'm interested in such meetings," I replied, careful with my tone. " Besides, it's not such a beautiful experience meeting with a family that chooses to hide their own blood because she is female," I lied.

Damon raised an eyebrow. "I thought that she would say this, and that's why I was hesitant to invite her," he shrugged. "Well, if you change your mind, you can inform us."

Silence followed, not the awkward kind but a thoughtful one.

"Walk with us to the edge," Tristan asked carefully. "It's not safe alone this close to dusk."

I hesitated, then nodded. "Fine. But no games. I just want to get home."

"No promises," Damon said, already stepping ahead.

"I'm serious about that, I wouldn't want any of you escorting me," I replied firmly.

They nodded in unison in exaggerated obedience.

As they walked me, I was sure that I would have to stop them at some point. I didn't want them to find out where I lived.
