"You should signify, if you have any objections, do not interrupt," Luna Belinda cautioned the Luna who just interrupted me.
"We can't believe that," a voice spoke up.
"I understand that you doubt the truth because you are so engrossed with falsehood not to see the truth that resides around you," I said, turning to look at Lady Eskareth.
Luna Wilberforce stayed calm and still, remarkably unfazed. She must have been very used to the reactions she got around her after she mated with Beta Wilberforce.
She sat exactly where she had been sitting since the beginning of the night. Her hands relaxed on the top of the table, and her back balanced against the chair.
"A true Alpha?" one of the councilmen finally spoke, breaking the silence. "That is a serious claim, Lady Gale."
"I do not make frivolous claims," I replied calmly.
