Some time later.
"This is fucking bullshit!!" Yasaka shouted and slammed her fist down on the table so hard that it broke, sending the various dishes on top of it crashing to the floor as a shockwave spread around her.
She brought her hands to her face as she sobbed softly. "My lady..." The high-ranking Youkai near her didn't know what to say, she just stared at her leader with sad eyes.
"More than half of our Youkai in Hokkaido, along with Sun Wukong, were completely defeated, and not only that, their bodies were kidnapped by Orochimaru..." Yasaka muttered with genuine pain, then narrowed her eyes and raised her head slightly to observe the temple around her.
"What the hell were Azazel and Serafall doing?" she demanded, almost shouting, her words filled with genuine resentment. "My lady, Lord Azazel was fighting an elite team formed by Orochimaru, the revived Lord Phenex, and a powerful angel, also revived, whose name I do not know."
"..." Yasaka shook her head slightly. Over the past few months, she had been losing too many Youkai at the hands of Orochimaru, and when Itachi suddenly came to form an alliance with the demons, she really thought that would put an end to the disappearances. However, according to the latest news, all of Hokkaido had been completely destroyed.
"I..." Yasaka let out a big, restrained sigh. "I'm sorry, I lost my temper. If even two of the Demon Lords can't deal with Orochimaru, How can we survive?" she asked. After all, her power was nowhere near Serafall's, not to mention Ajuka, who was completely superior to her in power.
Yasaka sat down on a nearby chair as she looked at the completely destroyed table. She thought she saw Hokkaido reflected in those pieces of plates, wood, and other debris scattered on the floor.
"I was informed that Lord Uchiha fought against the White Dragon Emperor, who had reached Ajuka's raw power, but in the end, Lord Uchiha defeated him..." the Youkai girl said with a slight smile.
But that news did not cheer up the already depressed Yasaka.
Suddenly, the atmosphere distorted slightly, and green and blue transport circles appeared not far away, and it wasn't long before Serafall and Ajuka emerged from those portals.
"We lost... Orochimaru has much more power and strange abilities than I thought. I couldn't face him as I should have... I'm sorry," Ajuka said with genuine guilt, leaning forward slightly as he spoke.
"I arrived a little late and couldn't be of much help. I'm sorry too," Serafall leaned forward, imitating Ajuka's actions.
"..." On the other hand, Yaska said nothing. She stood watching the two for a moment. A slight, tired half-smile forming on her face. "It doesn't matter. You did what you could. Although Hokkaido has been completely destroyed, it may serve to warn the world of Orochimaru's dangerousness..." Yasaka stood up as she spoke.
However, of course, there was a deep sadness hidden in her heart. The leader of the Youkai, a sensitive woman with power comparable to that of a demon king, did not know exactly what to do.
Ajuka took a small step forward, about to suggest something when a dark red transport circle appeared not far from them. This caught the attention of everyone present, who looked on with curiosity, and in an instant, Itachi Uchiha emerged from the circle.
The two demons' expressions were friendly. Serafall, of course, smiled brightly, and Ajuka seemed very pleased. However, Yasaka narrowed her eyes, bit her lower lip, took a step forward, and exchanged glances with Itachi.
"Sir Uchiha, I have been informed that you are one of the most powerful Lord Demons, so, so..." Yasaka paused, her actions suggesting something obvious; she was completely disgusted.
It seemed that with just one word from Itachi, Yasaka would have enough courage to take several steps forward and confront him. The woman's eyes said it all; one could feel her dissatisfaction even in the air.
Serafall and Ajuka watched her with bright eyes, each of them seeming to already know what Yasaka would do next and about to interrupt her.
"We Youkai have lost more than half of our members. Hokkaido is now a ghost prefecture, with almost no survivors. So," she looked at Itachi with narrowed eyes, "What was Lord Uchiha doing while all this was happening? Why didn't Lord Uchiha warn us earlier about the danger of Orochimaru?"
Yasaka's voice resonated with righteous indignation. She carried the deaths of more than half of the Youkai on her shoulders, and more than 100,000 humans killed in Hokkaido, or at least, that was her perception.
"Lord Uchiha, you arrived in this world several months ago, and we Youkai only learned of Orochimaru a few days ago..." The implications of her words were obvious. She looked at the ninja, waiting for his next words.
Itachi found himself simply looking at her with calm eyes as he had done before in the ninja world, facing the leader of the Youkai without even a flicker of emotion, his face unchanged even as she began to blame him for the death of the Youkai.
Instead, Itachi blinked slightly, then looked at the two Demon Lords who were waiting for his response.
"Why didn't I report earlier on the danger of Orochimaru? The question answers itself, Lady Yasaka," Itachi let out a slight sigh, "Why don't we simply send all of Japan's surplus food to neighboring countries suffering from malnutrition, such as Cambodia? Why don't we distribute the wealth of all humanity among all the humans who inhabit this world?" The ninja lightly stroked the edge of his clothing.
"The answer is... because it's impossible. We are not cattle, we are not a computer algorithm that can divide resources equitably or process information in less than a second," Itachi took a few steps toward Yasaka.
"If I shared my knowledge about Orochimaru without knowing whether you would try to kill me too for considering me a threat, Wouldn't that be stupid for my survival? Wouldn't that be literally putting a noose around my neck?" Itachi smiled slightly.
"Things aren't that simple because I have my own interests, and these came before the Youkai, whom I don't know. I haven't shared food, water, or life with the Youkai, so I preferred to save my own interests before saving someone I don't know and with whom I shared nothing." Itachi leaned forward slightly.
There was a brief moment of silence. Yasaka opened her eyes and took a step back. She was, to a certain extent, disgusted.
She never thought that this extremely handsome boy would have such a twisted way of thinking. She was about to yell at Itachi to get out of her sight when she began to think about his words.
She narrowed her eyes. In fact, Itachi's words made sense in her mind. "I couldn't sacrifice even one Youkai to save a thousand demons," she admitted to herself as she watched the ninja.
She was about to open her mouth to apologize for her previous words when Itachi suddenly smiled. "But now I have shared a table and time with you, Yasaka, so I will take care of protecting the Youkai as well. Today was my mistake, and I will fix it..."
Itachi said, his voice ringing with almost unprecedented clarity. Serafall took a step forward and opened her mouth to say something just as Itachi's body turned into many crows that cawed and flew in all directions.
