I used to be an elite trainer who trained some of the best Uma Musume overseas. I first started in the Japanese local scene, when the school's ace actually chose me as her trainer. Together, we learn and improve ourselves every day as the perfect trainer and Uma Musume. We were loyal to each other, with her being my best trainee, despite her receiving better offers from other teams and more experienced trainers. I was a fool to believe she was just a loyal and kind girl on my team, and then the incident happened.
She one day confessed her love to me and her being a minor and me not wanting to go to prison I rejected her. That's when a rumor spread that we were dating, I found out that one of the trainers jealous of me saw the confession and made up that I agreed to go out with her. This led to me being fired, and not reported because the incident was false and she was moved to a different team. The trainer spreading the rumor got fired as well, leaving the school with me. Still, no school would hire me, because of the incident, so I went overseas to America to work as an assistant trainer to a friend of mine.
Still, there I learned a lot, as we traveled to races in America, Europe, and the rest of the world, learning many things I would never learn in Japan. I took care of the girls, managed most of the cleaning, and training. We won a lot, had heartbreaking losses, and even got stomped competitively. Then it happened again, the team's best players all fell for me, and the head trainer seeing the disaster about to happen, fired me. I soon left the school, and the rumors about me being an ace attractor spread. Some thought it meant I tried to steal the best players on the team to make my own, some thought I hit on the team's best players, and some had even worse thoughts.
Why do I attract strong women!? I just want to be a trainer and the best in the world. Now I can't even get a job as I return to Japan. I now survive working part-time and being a substitute teacher in trainer prep schools. I didn't even do anything, except take care of them, guide them properly, treat them with politeness and respect, care about who they were and how they feel, and spend time with them so we can all get along.
How could they have fallen for an average and boring guy like me? Even to this day I study and work hard at being a trainer trying to find opportunities to return to the fray. It was the only time in my life I felt excited and overjoyed to get up every day. I love Uma Musume, training them, winning with them, spending time with them, and helping them. I also love being a trainer, raising someone to greater heights, and strategizing against powerful foes, I miss it every day.
That's when I heard a knock on my door. I soon got up and saw through the peephole that it looked like a young girl surrounded by a lot of security. I didn't know why they were there, but soon I kept the door chain on and opened the door. At this point all my politeness and innocence were gone so I asked them not caring who they were," Hey, who the hell are you guys, and what the fuck do you want?" The girl then smiled and replied," My how rude, from your old interactions you seemed kinder, and more polite, tell me did you become like this after what others have done to you, or were you always this prickly?"
That hit a nerve as I then told her," You know what you can fuck off, and take your brutes in suits with you." She then replied," Why the rush Mr. Takajima, we just got started, you haven't even heard what I'm here for." I then told her," fuck off, what can a brat like you possibly offer me?" Then before I could shut the door a huge hand stopped me, as one of the brutes held it open, she then replied to me," How about a chance to be a trainer again? Now are you going to let me in or do we have to use the battering ram to enter?"
I was interested, and soon I let them in and offered them something to drink, with her knowing my situation, she refused as we both sat down in my small living room. The only ones in the room were myself, the rich-looking girl, a secretary of hers, and a security guard, while the others waited by the door. She then spoke saying, "Mr. Takajima, I am Mina Sakamoto/Du Vault, but you can call me Miss Sakamoto, this beside me is my aide and head secretary Suzu Yamamoto, and the other is my top guard Kaito Iguro. We own the company Dark Wear Fashion, have you heard of us?" I then remembered a fashion brand that was recently taking the nation and the world by storm, but then I asked," Yes, I've heard of you guys, but what does a fashion brand have to do with me becoming a trainer again?"
I couldn't see it happening, I was indirectly banned from the local and international scene, which means I'm not banned, but no one will hire me. I will never work nationally in Tresen, so I couldn't see how I was going to be a trainer again. Sakamoto then asked me," Have you ever heard of Free Style Running, and the Free Style Racing League?" No I haven't, I didn't even know such a league existed, I was too focused on my dream and hard work to know such a league existed. She then interrupted my thinking by saying," It's fine if you don't, it's not big in Japan, and regular Uma Musume Running Trainers internationally don't mention it much being too busy with their own work."
She then continued saying," But it is massive internationally, and if you don't believe me check it out yourself." Her assistant soon handed me an iPad and a video introducing the league soon played. There was footage of the crowd, the Uma Musume racing in different races, some I've never even heard of. The brutal obstacle races, the ever-changing flat races, the passionate relays, and finally the unpredictable mixed races. I was in awe, and I began watching the other races and events with everyone.
It opened my mind to new strategies and possibilities, it was individual and team sports fused together. That's when Sakamoto locked the iPad off and asked," So Tsukasa Takajima are you interested in the sport scene of Free Style Racing? Are you interested in joining my team and becoming my head coach?" It was the first time in a long time I've felt this excited, and a chance to finally follow my dream again. I smirked saying," Goddammit you got me, when can we begin?!"
3 Weeks Later
I soon arrived at my new workplace, and let me tell you that it was fucking huge. I was expecting a small organization, but it seems the boss misunderstands what the word small means. I also got myself a pretty big paycheck, which she actually asked me if it was enough, like How rich is she? I was even able to move into a new house and pay off all my debt. Still, I am mostly living in the dorm in the facilities, because of easy access to my workplace and the many other reasons I'm able to use here.
While checking in to work the boss was waiting for me with the other two that was with her when we first had discussions. She greeted me and we began talking on my desk, and going through the orientation, the assistant said," Given your track record with dating your athletes they are adults this time, so it is allowed for you to date them." I soon interrupted her angrily saying," What track record, I never dated my athletes, sure one asked me out, but I rejected them." She then looked at me and the boss asked," Seriously, then why did the same incident happen twice?" I told her," I don't know, I treat them well, I care about who they are and how they feel, and advise them kindly through life and the sport, still don't know how they fall for me, at this point I just say I attract strong bitches."
They were somehow both speechless, with an are you shutting me look. I then told them," That's also why you can't find pictures or grounded sources of me dating my athletes." They then nodded, snapping out of their stupor, and continued with orientation. Soon after they were finished I asked them," hey if you were unsure about if the incidents were true or not, why did you choose to hire me? The boss then told me," because when I was looking for available trainers in the country who was willing to enter the scene with me I became desperate, I soon found your files in one of the agencies I was working with to find people with."
She then continued saying, "The files told me you were the only one who improved all your athletes to higher levels and worked long hours to do so, that is why I came to hire you. With learning more about you and interviewing you myself I now have come to see I was not wrong in doing so. Now may we work well together and may you lead my team into unbelievable heights Mr.Takajima," I was touched, and soon I responded happily," Yes ma'am! " I then soon stood up and bowed to her saying," Thank you for hiring me, I'll do my best!"
She then smiled in confidence and said," Good, now let's go meet your team." I then curiously asked," How many memberships are there?" She responded as she began to walk to the door as I followed," Teams are required to have 10 to 15 members so 15." That makes sense, as I keep following her towards the team. Which took a while because again this whole place is massive.
She then told me," I called all of them as I gathered them to meet the main staff, which you will be the first to be introduced and asked about. Then the rest of the staff will follow, as even though they're necessary you will have more interactions with the team daily so you are the most important person in this meeting." She then did an adorable giggle at her own pun, and soon we arrived at the meeting hall. The place looks like a college classroom with 15 Uma Musume sitting on the seats with what looks like their representative, and 9 servant-looking people in the front facing the Umas and their representative. I easily figured the 15 Uma Musume talking on the seats are the players, and the 9 servants were the other team staff.
I soon joined the rest of the staff and stood at the edge of their line as the boss went up to the podium. She then spoke saying," Hello team, today we begin our new journey, and we will start by meeting your guides and your support for it. You can ask them any questions after they introduce themselves. Now for the staff, I'll first introduce the team quickly and simply, and put up their photos and stats on the screen behind you. Now let's begin, with the team leader, Victory Gate."
Soon Victory Gate's photo and stats showed up on the screen and the rest of the team looked like they were having small discussions at their seats. Boss Mina soon continued," After is Vice Captain Mama Blues, followed by team strategist Tactical Gray." That's interesting maybe I should talk to this Tactical Gray girl later on for some tips on the team's overall strategy as well as Victory Gate to see the situation with the team. Boss continued snapping me out of my thoughts," After is the team's most charming Tyrant Lily and the kind and ladylike Great Wonder." I just decided to check out the stats and hear about the team members from now on, and take notes to deal with the team.
The boss moved on saying," Following them is the very hardworking Enduring Rain, and the socially awkward Edged Lily." Wow, it feels like we're all being told this ahead of time to not cause any incidents for those two. She then awkwardly went by those two saying," After them is the team's ace Steel Valkyrie and the team's long-distance ace High Spice." I then see both as the first one was looking at me in a very familiar look, the same ones the girls interested in me always give me. It seems she is the strongest, because why does this always happen, and why is the second one flirting with their representative so openly in front of everyone?
I soon realized and saw all the girls on the team who are attracted to men were looking at me with come-hither eyes or looking away shyly and the ones that aren't did not care. Meaning I can assume everyone here is strong. Thank goodness all of them are adults this time, now the only thing I have to worry about is them breaking my pelvis, I have to make countermeasures. That's when I was snapped out of my thoughts by the boss continuing," Next is the honest Imperial Punk and the team's creative force Black Diamond." I heard they also wanted to do concerts as well and some of the team can even write and produce incredible music it seems that's Black Diamond.
The boss kept on going saying," After them are the rough runner Sweet Pollen, and the team's smartest Endless Journey." I saw Endless Journey's work and theorems on the briefings I was given and they were brilliant and revolutionary. I had to actually adjust my training plans thanks to this data, I'm glad she's on this team, I would hire her as an assistant coach if she ever decides to retire. The boss finished off by introducing the last two," last but not least are the freedom-loving Norn Viking and the crazy and manic King Wild." Those last two just sound like two gigantic headaches waiting to happen, but if they're really good they can stay on the team.
It seems like the team is full of strong characters. The boss finished with her introduction of the team to the staff told the team," Now it's the staff's turn to be introduced, first up is your new trainer and head coach Tsukasa Takajima. I believe he has the ability to lead and train this team to the top so I'll let him introduce himself, and you can ask him some questions." She soon invited me to the podium and I soon began talking," hello you already know who I am and thanks to my research on the scene my ultimate goal is for the team to qualify for and win the Premier: FSRL World Championship. Now do any of you have any questions?"
That's when Tactical Gray asked," Yeah why is it that there are rumors about you dating your players in both the local and international scene?" That's when things got awkward and the room became quiet, but I explained myself," Actually those are just rumors, because yes some of them asked me out, but I said no. That's why you can't find photos or any evidence that aren't AI images or Photoshop. Also, I can tell you who came up with the rumors in the first place, and why he was fired with me." Tactical Gray responded," That's hard to believe though."
I was starting to get ticked with her and asked on edge," What's hard to believe, the lack of guilty evidence, or the evidence of me being innocent?" She then responded," That these women would be attracted to someone with your average looks." I then began laughing as that actually came out of nowhere immediately cutting the tension. I then replied," Hah ha, girl you don't have to believe, but look around at the strong women around you who like men and see how they are acting." Everyone looked around and saw Mama Blues looking at me with likey eyes, Great Wonder looking away shyly, and Norn Viking trying to seduce me.
Then Sweet Pollen side-eyed me as she looked away blushing, Black Diamond was putting on sunglasses to just pull them down to hit on me, and finally, Steel Valkyrie was standing stiff looking at me in her own little world. The rest of the team reacted in shock, with High Spice relieved Ayana wasn't acting normal, Imperial Punk and King Wild laughing out loud saying damn. Then with Victory Gate and Endless Journey sighing in exasperation, Enduring Rain and Edged Lily laughing awkwardly, and finally Tyrant Rose looking at me as an enemy. Tactical Gray was also shocked, but then curiously asked," Why aren't I or Ayana attracted to you, both of us are bisexual?" I then went in for the kill," Like my friend told me, I only attract strong bitches."
Technically it was strong women, but this was more of a statement than a fact. It made Tactical Gray flustered and speechless, sputtering in place at the statement. Everyone who saw her reaction either began laughing or saying ohhhhh loudly at her. She then snapped out of it yelling," What did you say to me you broke ass King Halo ripoff!" That ticked me off as I responded with," You don't get to talk if you look like the untalented version of Mr.CB."
We both were about to fight, but the lesser CB ripoff got restrained by Victory Gate and Enduring Rain, while Mina politely pulled me off the podium with her bodyguards. Now the CB loser was restrained in a straitjacket with a muzzle and I was dragged out of the room into my new office. With Mina calming everyone down as she tried to continue the event as I left the room. I was surprised I wasn't fired yet, but it seems this is going to be an annoying team I have to handle in the future. I soon arrived in my office and soon I began to work on future training plans for this team.
