It was now a few hours into the party, and Emma got a text. She looked at it and then grinned.
Finally, it's time, huh?
Emma turned to Hani, "Hani, I'm going to be gone for a while with Yichen. Just walk around and enjoy the food, make new friends or something, alright?"
Grabbing Yichen, Emma ran, leaving Hani behind before she could say anything.
Emma! What the hell! How am I supposed to navigate myself in this party? It's not like I will know anyone here. Oh, I wish Xian were here, then at least I wouldn't be alone.
As she was sulking around the party, trying to avoid people, out of nowhere, a group of kids similar to her age showed up in front of her.
"Who are you? I saw you with Emma Wang. Are you an adopted child or something?" they asked Hani, who was confused about why people would think that.
