Yesir froze in dreadfulness and anxiety.
Why did the Child of God condemned his prayer?
Although uneased, he remained composed.
I completed the ritual as exactly as it would proceed. Yesir's face turned solemn.
Have I made a mistake?
For the next minutes. He carefully rehearsed the ritual in his mind.
The altar, the materials and the prayer.
It wasn't accurate. However, Yesir did his best to construct a close replica of what the ritual have been.
I supposed a conventional ritual won't be able to reach "Her" grace... Yesir reevaluated his findings.
Then he came to a conclusion that he immediately shook off.
In silence, he strode off from the library once more. Returning five minutes later with a sack of dirt, plucked flowers up to its roots and a book with goatskin cover.
When he placed these items on the table, he flipped the book to a section depicting a sanctity.
It had a sketch of an altar: A wreathe of roots formed a circle. It stood erected by a branch that were placed atop a mound of soil.
There were some occasional flowers that across the soil while blood made it coarse.
Yesir shifted his gaze to its side.
A note that had an identical sketch yet still became distinct.
"Miniaturized version of the Revitalizing ritual"
He couldn't afford to delay as attempting the scale ritual would require a mass spirituality and complex procedure.
Thus, Yesir settled onto the note and followed its instructions.
He began diligently weaving a wreathe of flower root and stems. Adding the heads onto the soil.
A couple minutes later and Yesir was left with a soil barely covering the table's surface.
Standing rooted into the soil was the altar, not entirely close to its depiction but enough to visualized its stature.
Yesir once again hand-drawn a symbol he saw from the dreamworld onto a piece of paper.
He then lit the previous candles with the friction of his spirituality according to the appropriate sequencing.
Since Yesir had already reconstructed the wall of spirituality. The ritual can now be commenced for the second time.
He burned the essentials oils and herbs into the candle's plume.
The air took an alleviating scent just like before.
When Yesir had let the candle's flame consume the paper.
Then, he used his spirituality to sketch another identical symbol. Only this time it was on the soil.
"The noble Queen of desolation and harvest." He chanted solemnly.
The title wasn't revised. It was derived directly from the records of the Goddess's past title.
Then, he shifted to the corresponding symbol, to effectively direct the prayer to the current Child of God.
"The divine goddess who wields this symbol's domain;
"The Reborn Child of God;
"I beseeched your attention, your ever-loving grace...
"I pray for your acceptance, to notice the offering of sacrifice...
"I plead for you to open your divine kingdom and let its gates receive my prayer...
"Moonlight Oil, an agent of fertility, please bestow your powers to my incantation...
"Nurturer's sage, a herb of nourishing, please bestow your powers to my incantation...
"Sanctuary myrtle, a flower of healing, please bestow your powers to my incantation...
...
"Spring lotus, a flower of proliferation, please bestow your powers to my incantation.."
...
16 Daffodil Street. Tingen City.
Selina abruptly sat upright from her bed. Her ear resounding from illusory ravings that are both distant and near.
It was foreign. Somewhat identical to the past ringing akin to the sounds of pests.
However, now it became more prominent. The voices being instilled into her mind began forming a solemn tone of a man.
At that moment, through in-depth scrutiny, it gradually became familiar to her. It led Selina into a conclusion.
It was her believer reaching out for her!
So this is how prayers were received? Selina pondered over to distant voices becoming progressively clearer.
I pray for your acceptance...
Spring Lily, a flower of purity, lend your power to my incantation...
What Selina had deciphered were all in a language she's entirely illiterate of. However, she didn't mind much of it as she began simulating the emotion of longing.
Her vision darkened, her material body collapsed back to slumber. Amidst the roaring phantasmal ravings, the world before her shattered in an instant.
...
The dreamworld constructed Selina's figure that moments later suddenly gained conscience as its eyes fluttered.
Vast field of green expands across the horizon depicting a picturesque scene hanged as decorations. Above was the warm sun casting its nourishing glow across the bright clouds, bathing the world in rich vibrancy.
Apart from the swarm of fireflies that lit even in the daylight. The familiar mural-like vines beginning from her feet and extends into the distance in a spiraling manner remained unchanged.
Wait... A swarm of fireflies? Selina silently muttered to herself. Eyes shifted to locked onto one of the vines.
Although the spiraling murals that separates in segments all have the similar structure and appearance.
From some inexplicable reason, Selina was able to quickly distinguish once she made a connection to the person at its end, a sense of their spirit from where she stood. This particular vine however, leads to her most recent guest.
It was the vine symbolizing her recent guest!
Just as she was about to respond by instilling her will toward its end. The speckled lights dispersed exactly as the moment Selina raised her hand.
What? Selina was puzzled.
This was the very same phenomenon she had encountered during the past yet when the moment arrived that she had the chance to uncover this mystery. It dissipated.
However, it couldn't rattle her composure, only the matter regarding her believer's supposed ritual remained to trouble her.
This is a dreamworld! The best I could do was give order and claims without anything to support them! Selina gravely listed her very limited abilities.
She sighed and added. Well... At least I made an attempt. Regardless of what happens I still have the Tarot Club as my source of information.
Her only choice now was to wait patiently.
The voice was certainly from that fervent believer. Selina didn't perceive this zealous man as a person to only try once. She can be sure that another layered voices will accompany her moments later.
...
Half an hour later and Selina suddenly experienced distant voices that reverberated across the restless wind.
When scrutinized, it combined to form stacked illusory chanting of a solemn prayer.
At that moment, the light speckles that remained prominent even if bathed in the sun began to form a swarm to the exact vine of earlier.
This time, Selina didn't delayed as she quickly tried to extend her will into its direction.
Then the world suddenly trembled.
Along with the immediate dispersion of the fireflies. Thick thorned roots erupted from the soil that exhibited flesh. They intertwined to one another to form a structure akin to a door.
This door ignited with bright aqueous light. Following this phenomenon was the gradual closing of thin mist and the sky suddenly dimmed.
Selina stood awestruck as she watched scenery within the door of roots to take form.
She was in disbelief that the dreamworld could in fact establish a direct connection with the material world!
Beyond the aqueous light was a vivid image of a room furnished with mostly bookshelves.
On its center, there stood a man clad in a simple waistcoat followed by a conventional white long-sleeved shirt. Short black hair and toned features.
He was a handsome man, presumably somewhere in between twenties to thirties.
His eyes were closed and his stance stood with a head bent. Showing great reverence toward the goddess.
At that instance, Selina heard the man's stern voice from across the door.
"I pray for your acceptance, to notice the offering of sacrifice..."
Acceptance? Notice and sacrifice...? Selina was puzzled as why she could strangely comprehend the man's prayer.
However, the words were relayed in a standard Loenese!
Assuming that the man wanted her to receive the stacks of paper documents beside the small mount of soil.
She subconsciously extend her hand to reach it. Only to withdrew and realized that she can't approach it at all.
I had no feet... My whole body was fused into the ground. How can I accept it? Selina pondered for awhile.
It was no less than a minute when she tried to will the world, letting it act for her bidding.
Massive vines erupted from beneath Selina in response to her will. Afterwards it went and breeched the boundary of aqueous light.
...
When Yesir had reached another end.
The altar remained ominous yet seemingly exhibit no responses.
It was another failure, a reflection of their constant attempts that certainly leads to dismay.
However, he did not falter immediately. Sensing that the air still maintained its alleviating fragrance and its thick presence. He kept his hope for anything that might occur.
At that moment. The circle made of wreathes suddenly glowed with bright aqueous light.
Yesir quickly felt the surrounding began experiencing a sense of maternal instinct.
Even to himself, he could feel the desire to copulate, whatever being is present should suffice for his sudden need to conduct proliferation.
His lower body became swollen, heat rising from his sexual orientation.
However, through cogitation, the instinctual desire became bearable.
Once the atmosphere took this strange aura of maternity and reproduction. Two intertwined vines exited from the altar's wreathed circle.
It quickly took hold of the documents as its multiple segments splits to reach for the remaining papers.
When the sacrificial items, the documents were taken. The aura didn't lingered any longer as it gradually receded along with the aqueous light from the recently crafted wreathe.
The next moment, the altar crumbled on its own. The material used was diminished of their spirituality.
Only when the surrounding air stabilized did Yesir gasped profusely.
It worked... He muttered in shock and disbelief.
Ah... Hahaha! It finally worked!
A smile crept across his face. The Child of God returned for us!
...
The vines immediately withdrew from the door that once it completed its purpose, quietly returning back into the soil.
Selina then received stacks of documents, along with a few pieces carried by the branching segments of the vine.
A scent of adhesives followed by the ink made Selina smiled for her achievement.
With this, I've officially infiltrated the Child of God's faction within the Rose School of Thought..! Selina braced herself in anticipation.
The man also said that he's a pastor himself. If I could get him to covet the remaining members into believing that I'm their reborn goddess. Then the issue of a risky attempt of completely controlling this faction will be resolved.
Other benefits also includes deploying them for errands. Selina listed in mind.
Okay... A faint breathe scaped her lips. Regaining her composure.
Only after Selina set her thoughts aside did she began reading the stacked documents.
This is quite heavy... She weighted the documents all together.
This could probably take me weeks to finish...
Her mood lessened a bit. However, it didn't stopped her from revealing a peculiar relief as she began reading starting at the front page written in highlander:
"Languages of the Nature."
Upon seeing the topic. Selina naturally comprehend this language of the southern continent as it was one of the crucial things her tutors taught.
Because of this title, her heart palpitates as she quickly went ahead onto the first paragraph:
"The Languages that invoke the natural forces. The primary function of languages is to stir and control the natural forces and energies in the world.
"These are ancient, ritualistic languages that have inherent power within them as each word is highly meaningful and symbolic that it both represents the overall field of mysticism and anything related to it.
"To construct a simple sentences one must..."
Selina then saw a character with a strange pattern, distinct from any sort of alphabets she had seen throughout her life.
The next was its meaning, with a title of 'Hermes', starting from 'a' ending at 'z'.
Her session went on until her mind began experiencing severe ravings. Similar to her past encounter, this suggest that she had prolonged her stay.
Selina didn't wasted any time as she quickly simulated the feeling of descent accompanied by the sensation of awakening.
The world shattered before her as her figure crumbled back into the environment.
