"Whose skeleton is this?"
The six of them circled the roots, perplexed. They came here to find answers on how Hermes will draw power to unlock his full potential. But instead, they found death and its grinning face.
Aphrodite observed the skull. "It's definitely human. But… Why here? How did it get tangled in with the roots, if the plant had grown before humans even existed? Could it be an ancient Voidling?"
Magni kneeled down. "No. The essence of this being is not the same as ours. It is Pleroman."
"Could it be…. Viator, then?"
Somner was the only one daft enough to say what they were thinking deep down.
Because if this was Viator's bones, then whose body was Hermes inhabiting? Or does this mean that inside, he had no bones?
Is he just a hollow shell inside? Surely not.
But… Who else could it be?
Hermes reached out to its face, now in a permanent smile. He remembered the sentiment that Viator had about Pleroma.
