Chapter 46 - Auction part 5

Max and Sophia waited patiently for everyone to settle into their seats, only beginning to speak once the room grew quiet.

"Now let me read out the rules of the today's auction." max said

Rule number one: Competitors are not allowed to intimidate others in the auction house or on the island regarding the items they are bidding on.

Rule number two: Malicious bidding to inflate the product price beyond what a person can afford is strictly prohibited. If caught, their money will be confiscated, or they will be forced into labor until they pay the amount they bid for the product.

Rule number three: participants can request a five-minute pause in the auction for each product to arrange the necessary funds through loans or borrowing from other participants.

Rule number four: You can collect the items you have successfully bid on from the backstage, or VIPs can request to have them brought to their rooms.

Rule number five: The auction house will always select the top 100 wealthiest individuals to experience the VIP rooms, and no late admissions are allowed. They can enjoy the experience and provide feedback to the team at a later date.

Rule number six: You can book the auction house's private room prior to the auction day by paying a certain amount of money as a participation guarantee. If you fail to attend the auction for any reason, half of the amount will be deducted from the booking fee.

If anyone has doubts regarding the rules, feel free to raise them. Please note that our auction house does not tolerate anyone attempting to bypass the rules by acting clever. Thank you for your patience.

Max waited for few minutes to clarify small doubts and then handed the mic to Sophia to start the auction.

Sophia took the mic and allowed the maid to bring the first item onto the stage.

The maid brought a heavy wooden box, laboriously dragging it across the floor while Max helped her place it on the podium set up on the stage.

"Now, let's present our first item of the auction," Sophia announced as she opened the box with Max's assistance, revealing the item inside.

It was long sword with long inspiration flashing on it which emitting red light.

Max held the sword in his hand, presenting it to the audience. He turned it over, swung it through the air to display its craftsmanship, and then struck a dummy prepared to demonstrate its sharpness.

The sword sliced the dummy cleanly in half from top to bottom, and he smoothly returned the sword it to its sheath.

"Many of you might be wondering how an ordinary sword is being auctioned here today. Allow me to explain the details of the sword," Sophia said calmly, noticing the doubt on the participants' faces.

"The sword is a Tier 2 peak-grade weapon, forged by skilled blacksmiths from burning red ore and then entrusted to an alchemist who inscribed runes for sharpness enhancement, durability improvement, and fire effects, causing fire injuries to enemies when slashed," Sophia explained.

Sophia then walked towards the dummy and separated the parts which are put together and showed the burnt damage inside the dummy.

The audience who saw the state of the dummy gasped in surprise, and many began whispering to each other in hushed tones.

"Now the basic price of the burning series sword starts at 1 gold coin each increase must be one or more gold coins and the auction for the item begins" Max declared

This thrilled the crowd, and many eagerly pressed the buttons on their seats to bid for the item. The price quickly soared from two gold coins to ten gold coins within minutes.

As soon as the price hit 10 gold coins, many noticed it rising slowly, but then it immediately began climbing with a difference of 10 between each bid. Before long, the price reached 100 gold coins. That's when the VIPs in the upper floor boxes joined in, starting their bids at 200 gold coins. The bidding eventually slowed down once it reached 300 gold coins.

The sword was soon sold for a premium price of 310 gold coins, which clearly demonstrated the wealth of the VIPs seated on the upper floor. This made those who were initially dissatisfied with them moving to the upper floor now feel it was justified.

Then another box was carried onto the stage which was 2 meters in length.

Max opened the box and pulled out a glowing, 2-meter-long red spear, which immediately silenced everyone as they stared at it in awe.

Max then took the spear, twirled it in his hand, and began performing the spear act. He stabbed at the dummy that had been set up, demonstrating the spear's usage to the people below.

"The spear is part of the same Burning Series, and the auction starts at 1 gold coin, with each increment being no less than 1 gold coin," Sophia explained.

Soon, the spear was sold for 350 gold coins, and Sophia ordered the third item to be brought out—a burning series mace, which was eventually sold for 315 gold coins.

Now I will conclude the auction of Burning Series weapons. Those who feel they missed the Burning Series weapons can visit the Merchant Guild to purchase tier 1 low-grade to top-grade weapons for a certain price.

This caused many to immediately rush out and purchase weapons before the stock ran out in the merchant guild's storage.

Now I present the next item, the Thunder Series, crafted from Tier 2 Thunder Ore and inscribed with Thunder Runes, which made everyone sit back in their chairs. The sword, spear, and mace were demonstrated by Max and were sold at a premium price of 400 old coins and above.

This made Sophia wonder if she had mistakenly mentioned they were Tier 3 weapons. After seeing Max's face, who was nodding in understanding, she asked him to explain the reason to her.

"Who among boys doesn't dream of wielding weapons that control thunder? I will say those weapons are worth the price," Max declared, causing Sophia to roll her eyes. The audience, hearing Max's words, nodded in agreement with his statement.
