Chapter 75 - Chapter 72: Oath

Amiya was crying.

Though it was due to a misunderstanding—or more precisely, a chain of accumulated misinformation—the result was the same.

Regulus's hand hung awkwardly in the air. It was hard for him to explain things to Amiya.

And once he tried to explain, it would inevitably bring up the matter of him stealing a kiss while she slept. No matter how he tried to spin that, it would surely shatter the image of him in her heart.

"Senpai... can you... hug me?"

That question sent a jolt through Regulus.

Amiya was still sobbing, arms wrapped around her shoulders, trembling like a helpless little lamb waiting for comfort in the cold winds of a December wasteland.

Regulus didn't have a choice. He didn't even hesitate—he hugged her.

...Wait, her?

Even Regulus was surprised. Usually, this only happened during sleep. But this time, for the first time, he had leapt directly from reality into the mental world.

And he had brought a guest along.

Amiya was completely confused. Just moments ago, she had been in the wilderness—now suddenly she was in some strange, dreamlike space, wrapped in the arms of a woman she had never met.

A beautiful woman, who seemed to be... angry at Regulus.

"I told you to tell her the truth sooner. But no—you hesitated and stalled. See? Now she's crying."

Theresa held Amiya gently, clearly distressed at her tears. She pouted at Regulus, expressing her disapproval through her actions.

"And don't tell me you can't see it—she really likes you! Or are you pretending not to know? You scummy two-timer!"

Amiya's face turned bright red.

Was it really that obvious that she liked Regulus-senpai?! (Yes, it absolutely was.)

And how did this woman hugging her know so clearly? (Because she'd been watching you from a third-person view the whole time.)

"Ah... well, I... I mean..."

Regulus stammered, unsure what to say.

Theresa's behavior was perplexing. Normally, no girl would be willing to share her lover with another. This wasn't some moonlit fanfiction like "The Playboy Knight of Rhodes" where every girl lined up saying, "It's okay, as long as you love me too."

That kind of story was pure fantasy, right?

Still, Regulus knew he wouldn't be getting any answers. Not even Theresa herself could likely explain why she was encouraging this.

But that thought passed in a flash. Instead, he turned his attention to Amiya.

The Sarkaz girl looked up with sincere, if pained, eyes.

"Adele... That's what they call you, right? You love Regulus-senpai, don't you?"

"…Yes."

Amiya's voice was barely a whisper, soft as a summer breeze—but filled with shy sincerity.

"Nope, that's not good enough," Theresa said, shaking her head.

She gently turned Amiya's shoulders, making her look directly at her.

"If you love him, you have to say it loud and clear. Some people are too slow—if you don't shout it, they'll never hear you."

"So let's try that again—Do you love Regulus... Regulus Harvey?"

The little lamb clenched her fists. This time, she decided she wouldn't hide anymore.

"Yes! I love Regulus-senpai very much!!"

With a deep breath, Amiya shouted the words—perhaps the loudest she had ever spoken in her life.

Theresa smiled faintly.

"Regulus—she said it. What about you?"

Regulus stood frozen.

Theresa's attitude was baffling. Amiya had summoned a mountain of courage for her confession. Both girls had put their hearts on the line. If he didn't step up now, he'd truly be an idiot.

"Adele... I'm sorry. I never noticed. I always thought... you saw me as an older brother."

He took Amiya's hand in his, gently brushing her pale face, and stroked her head.

"I don't know what I did to deserve the affection of someone as incredible as you..."

Amiya held her breath. She knew—this was the moment.

"But... if you truly don't mind... Adele, would you be willing to be my—no... Please, become my family."

And once again, the little lamb burst into tears.

"Yes! I want to be your family (wife), Senpai!"

"Great! That's the spirit!"

Clapping enthusiastically was Theresa, who had been watching from the side. Amiya, still stunned by her successful confession, snuck a glance at this elegant, kind, and beautiful big sister who had helped her so much.

"Senpai... may I ask... who is she?"

"Ah, that's my bad. I didn't think you two would ever get to meet."

Regulus chuckled softly, then gestured toward Theresa.

She smiled gently, stepping forward and taking Regulus's hand.

"This is Theresa... She's my wife."

...Eh?

Amiya's brain short-circuited.

Some time later...

"So... my body had already..."

Amiya's heart couldn't settle.

Too much had happened today.

First, she had inexplicably ended up in a strange, beautiful place. Then, with Theresa's help, she had successfully confessed to Regulus. Then came the shocking revelation that Regulus was actually two-timing scum—and just as she was mentally preparing herself to accept that... she was told that her Oripathy would no longer be a problem.

It was all too much to process.

And yet...

It was true that she had clearly heard Uncle Steiner earlier without using a hearing aid.It was true that her vision had become much clearer lately.

She quietly looked at the man beside her—the one who had changed her fate, a fate she had long accepted as hopeless.

And from now on, she would be his family. His wife—just like Theresa.

"To have met Senpai... I'm so glad..."

Suddenly, the whole world felt warm and beautiful to the little lamb.
