Chapter 88 - Kunlun

"You bastard pretty boy!!"

Provoked by Revy, Kunlun—already on edge—erupted with fury. Liu Feiyun tried to stop him, but it was too late. He could only watch in shock as Kunlun threw a powerful punch at Revy.

"I'll flatten you! Shameless little punk!"

Kunlun's face twisted in rage. He had long wanted to teach this arrogant Regulus Harvey a lesson.

He didn't understand what Liu Feiyun was so afraid of. Here in the slums, the Liu Gang was the law.

The Liu Gang's power didn't come from wealth or training, but from deep roots in the slums—like willow branches that tangled and shadowed every corner of this lawless zone. This was a world where the gang ruled, outside of East Capital's legal reach.

In Kunlun's mind, Rhodes Island meant nothing here. If even the powerful Panlong Society couldn't scare Liu Gang, then neither could some outsider.

After all—

"Even a dragon fears the local snake."

But—

"Even a local snake needs to know what kind of dragon it's biting."

Facing Kunlun's fist—capable of breaking stone—Revy raised just one finger.

He positioned his right index finger calmly, waiting. As Kunlun's fist connected—

Tap.

The finger stopped the punch.

"!!"

Everyone—Liu Feiyun, the nearby Liu Gang officers—froze in disbelief.

They knew how strong Kunlun was.

Besides the gang's reclusive "Patron," Kunlun was their top fighter. He didn't use Originium Arts, but had trained his body to an absurd degree—impervious to blades and bullets. His punches could pulverize massive stones.

And yet—this young, scholarly-looking Sarkaz had stopped that devastating punch with just a finger.

Liu Feiyun had thought he was already giving Revy enough credit. But clearly, he had underestimated him.

"You bastard…!"

That finger infuriated Kunlun. It didn't hurt—but the humiliation cut deep.

He roared, muscles bulging, trying to overpower Revy with brute strength.

But the finger didn't move.

It was as if Revy's finger were welded to the air, completely immovable.

"...Looks like you're not going anywhere."

Revy smiled gently, like an adult humoring a child.

"Stop mocking me!!" Kunlun bellowed, throwing all his power into it. "I'll smash that smug nose of yours!"

"Go ahead. If you can." Revy shrugged. "But let's change the rules, shall we?"

With a slow movement, he bent his finger—lightly resting it on Kunlun's knuckles.

Kunlun's expression changed instantly.

The wall of resistance vanished—but something worse took its place: immense, crushing force.

Revy's finger wasn't gripping—just resting. But that featherlight touch froze Kunlun's entire body. He couldn't move his punch forward—or pull it back.

"Damn it!"

Frustrated, Kunlun raised his other fist to strike.

This wasn't a real attack—just a distraction to break free.

"...Enough."

Revy's smile vanished.

No one could see what happened next.

All they saw was Kunlun suddenly blasted backwards like a cannonball. He crashed into the ground with a boom, his landing spreading out like a splat in the dust.

Everyone—including Liu Feiyun—gasped.

Throwing someone was easy. But launching a person with such precision—to land at just the right distance—took terrifying control.

Even their mysterious Patron couldn't do that.

"Mr. Regulus…"

Liu Feiyun tried to recover. "About Kunlun just now—"

"Don't worry." Revy smiled, calm as ever. "He was just mad that I tricked you into handing over the goods for free. That's normal."

"If he'd meant to kill me, he'd be dead already."

Cold sweat dotted Liu Feiyun's forehead.

This had gone exactly as Revy planned. Liu Feiyun wasn't like Lungmen's Rat King—he had no absolute power, no force that could suppress others. He was just a leader picked for being slightly more capable than the rest.

In a profit-driven gang like Liu Gang, true loyalty was rare. The moment collective interest was threatened, leadership meant nothing.

So Revy had to make a point.

"You all thought that with your slum's power, you could scare Panlong into backing off... and then sell the loot for a high price."

He raised his teacup and took a slow sip.

"But have you ever thought: Why would Panlong just abandon something this valuable?"

"Don't tell me it's because you're strong.""Because weak strength, in the face of real power... is just a joke."

Liu Feiyun said nothing. His fists were clenched tightly.

Revy's demonstration had made the threat crystal clear.

"You don't know... because you don't have the intel. What you stole is so dangerous, it could burn this entire slum to the ground."

Revy leaned forward, his face nearly touching Liu Feiyun's.

His voice was icy.

"What if I told you—what you took... is connected to the Seventh Prince of Yan?"
