Chapter 169 - Pre-Married Life

"A wedding, you say?" Father Alastair scowled.

"Two, old man," Maple snapped. "Or a double. I dunno what rituals are like these days."

She was more impatient than usual.

They sent her to bring news, but her mind was already split between her tasks.

Her pet beasts patrolled the eastern mountains, and she saw the world through their eyes.

No new advance parties appeared, and the king's men did a good job reinforcing the Halaima Pass. She didn't see any other hidden paths, either, but she couldn't send the wyverns too far.

"Who's marrying who?" the priest asked, rubbing his temples.

"Ugh," the dragoness groaned. "Lord Konrad of the Halstadt house. He'll seal his alliance with the Duke of Aset by marrying Lord Schwertburg's only daughter. And then Lady Liliana, too—"

"Hold on for a moment," Alastair yelled. "My Konrad? A dutchess and a tribesgirl at once?!"

Maple took a deep breath, trying not to incinerate the old man when she let it out.

Konrad told her to act human. Humans couldn't breathe fire.

But then she went the extra mile using that stupid formal wording—well, as mockery, but still.

"That's what I said, priest. Pick up the pace already."

"B-but that's not something the Church would allow—"

"Why? Didn't you say Konrad's father had two wives? And in the same setup as well."

"Lord Erwin died fighting the Church," Alastair pointed out.

"It's fine then, isn't it?" the dragon asked with a smirk. "We already won our fight against them. They shouldn't have an issue. Now, go and get things ready."

The priest kept shaking his head.

"It's not that simple," he said. "Even if they allowed such an outrageous thing, it'd take a month for their reply to arrive. Then we'd have to seek approval from the king, and—"

"Nope, you have until tomorrow," Maple cut him short.

Alastair looked at her, dumbfounded.

"You're joking," he scoffed. "This isn't a betrothal. Weddings usually take a year to organize. Even ignoring the official steps, we'd need to send invitations, sort out accommodations—"

Ah, all the excuses.

"Don't worry about that," she waved him off. "About six hundred guests are marching on Halaima right now. They'll be here. Plus, the queen already approved this plan."

"Queen?" Alastair repeated, his mouth gaping. "Six hundred? What in the saints' name?"

Of course, not everyone could read minds, and he's been stuck in Halaima all this time.

With another sigh, she explained the state of the world—a mortal-approved version at least.

The archangel and the greater demon were very particular about how much she could say to people. Besides, he didn't want to freak Alastair out more than she had to. She needed him.

"This is terrible," the old man moaned before she even finished. "But that explains it."

"Yeah—and you'll have the honor of sealing the alliance that saved Kasserlane. So get to it."

The old man hummed, pacing back and forth, while Stella poked her head inside his office.

The lanky blonde necromancer must have been eavesdropping for a while. But Maple knew better than to read her mind and find out how much she knew.

She could tell at a glance that the girl was still a mess.

"I can understand the political reasoning," she muttered, revealing herself. "But why marry Lady Liliana, too? If anything, it will turn the more conservative nobles against him."

"Oh, that, well—"

She knew the exact reason, but rather not say it.

The future hero of Kasserlane was already enjoying his soon-to-be-married life.

And with both fiancés at once.

She was jealous, but at least Konrad was too distracted to lock her out of his mind.

"I-I don't know about this," Konrad stuttered as his pants were coming down.

It was both the most arousing and confusing thing he had felt so far—and he'd been through a lot these days. His mind reeled, but his body was more than ready for the experience.

"Yeah, I doubt you want us to stop," Lily purred, watching his hardness spring to attention.

Before he could say anything, her head bobbed down, her soft, warm lips enveloping his shaft.

Not a single warning.

Like an electric jolt, his whole body shook from the contact. And then—as he felt her tongue working, all his muscles coiled up. The only reason he didn't burst right away was Gabrielle.

"Don't hog him all for yourself," the angel said, not very angelic at the moment.

She scooted closer in the carriage that was still speeding with them on the highway. Her fingers untied her frilly blue dress without even looking, her lips meeting his in a deep kiss.

Konrad was both embarrassed and excited, but with time, the first feeling began to fade.

"That's more like it," Lily said, her lips coming off him with a loud pop. "You're getting harder."

"You're going to kill me," he groaned as she went down on him again, his hips jerking to meet her movements. The demoness laughed, her cock vibrating with her voice.

"We're not," Gabrielle replied in her stead. "We're only easing away your tension."

"And what doesn't kill you makes you stronger," the ginger added during a pause, then went deep down on him again. "I've noticed how stiff you were lately. And not only here—"

Her gentle bite made him shudder, but he couldn't say a word.

Not with the angel's tongue probing between his lips.

Even the notion was too wild for him to comprehend. A demon and a heavenly creature pleasuring him all at once? Sure, he planned to marry them both, but he never expected this.

Lily's next bite was harder, and he let out a painful gasp into Gabrielle's mouth.

"By the way—" The ginger pulled up again. "I'm mad at you. You never even proposed."

"Fuck," Konrad yelped. "I didn't have the chance."

And he didn't think this through whatsoever.

"Excuses," Lily scoffed, swallowing him to the hilt, her hot throat squeezing him tight.

She didn't seem mad after all, and he was already getting very close.

"Rejoice," Gabrielle demanded, gripping his face before another snappy kiss. "You can be the bridge between the heavens and hell. All you have to do is enjoy. You'll work later."

Menacing—but in a sexy way.

He still couldn't feel real passion from the duke's daughter, but she didn't hold back, either.

In fact, when Lily came up to take a deep breath the next time, she pushed the demoness away.

Konrad only realised at that moment that she was completely naked.

Didn't know where to look first? Her firm breasts? The pale skin of her stomach, which looked softer than Lily's? The sparse patch of brunette hair above her smooth slit?

Before he could take a good look at it all, she gripped his hips.

That smooth slit parted to reveal a tight, wet entrance.

And in one swift motion, his entire length disappeared.

Gabrielle's high-pitched moan suppressed his, hands flying to her hips.

"To think I'd let a demoness keep this all for herself until now—"

Said demoness wasn't sitting idle, either.

"This'll cost ya," Lily said, obstructing Konrad's view by straddling his face. "And you, sweetheart. It's payback time. Make sure your tongue works twice as hard as it did inside her mouth."

Relaxation, they said? All he did was work again.

But at least this was a job he didn't mind.
