Lola agreed with Atlas's plan, though she felt like she nodded under the pressure of everyone staring at her. It wasn't that she disagreed, but everything about her life since Atlas came into it was moving so fast, in a direction she couldn't predict.
It was different from the path she had expected when she returned to Novera. Back then, her path had been straight. Now, she couldn't even tell if it was a straight line. All she knew was that whatever path they were on, it was like riding in a racing car.
"Hola!"
Lola flinched as Silo suddenly jumped to her side. Seeing her reaction, he arched a brow.
"Why are you jumpy?" Silo asked. "It's either you had too much coffee or you didn't. Which one is it?"
"Silo, please… not today," Lola sighed, watching some crew move equipment while she sat on the edge of the flowerbed.
