Chapter 307 - I don't know when is the wedding

The next day…

Lola grunted, her entire body sore from last night's fight. She stretched, then turned to her side. As she opened her eyes, she caught a figure lying beside her. Lola blinked weakly a few more times until Atlas's face grew clearer.

Atlas was lying on his side, his temple resting against his knuckles. He stared at her, his expression unreadable.

"Good morning," she greeted in a hoarse voice, scooting closer to him. "Did you just arrive?"

"I told you I'd be back last night, not today," he said, his eyes scanning her again. 

This time, she knew what was in his head.

"I'm fine," she reassured with a chuckle. "Though my muscles feel sore. Feels like hitting the gym for the first time, but overall, I'm okay."

"I know," he answered flatly. "The doctor told me you are fine, and I trust professionals more."
