Chapter 309 - Is it the time for a lover's quarrel?

Days later…

"Lola, mountains of paper are stacking up on your desk, and they won't sign themselves." Amala let out a deep breath as she added another handful of papers to the mountain. "If you miss them that much, then why not go home?"

Lola, who had been sulking at her desk, looked up at her. Her lips curved down deeply, her eyes welling up with tears.

"I feel homesick," she muttered, her voice dramatically shaky. "Amala, is it normal for me to wish they were a little dumb? Those kids are too sharp, and I'm sure they would notice something is off if they see me. They sometimes examine me, you know? Telling me I'm a bit of a klutz."

Another deep breath escaped Lola as she thought of her woes. The first day of being separated from the twins, she was fine with it. However, on the second day, she started missing them — especially when she heard their voices while talking to Atlas.
