[Flashback]
"Damn." Haji stared at the ruined grave in surprise. "She really dug her grave, huh?"
Deep in his heart, he knew that if Lola could, she would've crawled to hell itself just to confront Loren. Ruining Loren's grave was too mild considering how crazy Lola could get when pushed to her breaking point. Even Haji wouldn't mess with her.
Slowly, he snapped his gaze toward the man standing next to him.
The cemetery was dark, the sky barely clearing after the pouring rain. A few people lingered around, but not enough to bother them. From what Haji heard, Lola had been here earlier and had destroyed everything in sight. The aftermath was enough proof.
But he wasn't here to inspect the storm she left behind.
Haji was here because of this man: Atlas.
"Hey," Haji called. "Just to be clear, I avoided her all this time. So if she found out about your proposal, it wasn't me. Ask Silo. He runs his mouth faster than he breathes."
Atlas didn't respond.
