"Gigante?" The lackey's voice echoed inside the truck as he looked at Lola with slight confusion. "Boss Goddess, are we changing our destination? A little detour?"
"Yep." Lola snapped her eyes toward the boss driving the truck. "Let's drop by Gigante first."
The boss knitted his brows, glancing at her through the rearview mirror. "Chosen One, I can take you to Gigante, but why are you suddenly changing destinations?"
Gigante was mostly a peaceful town, and its residents were submissive to the regional power. At least, they were known for not causing trouble. They were resilient people who had survived for years despite the harsh reality of the territory.
"Hm." Lola leaned back. Instead of answering him directly, she cast a glance at the two tied men. "It seems the first two you were talking about are alive… though barely."
"What?" both Bellemonte captives gasped, eyes widening at the sudden revelation. "What did you say? They are — they are alive?"
