Chapter 5 - Chapter 4: Memory

It was raining outside the window. The night sky looks heavy, as if crying with Zey's soul drowning in the dark. The room is back in silence, just the rain and the plan of the plan from the screen shining purple in the dark.

He lay on the old mattress, look at the ceiling. Her body was still tired despite the 3rd stage. His left hand felt pulsating as the first XP crystal absorption was not completely gone.

But all that was drowned when his eyes were glued to a picture frame on the table.

Outdated, half -blurred picture. Two boys, he and a smiling boy, wore fake e-sports jersey shirts, standing in front of a small stadium building. Behind them, written banners: "Final Asia Zone - Zeyx vs Ariffinx".

Zey took a deep breath.

"If you are still there, I won't be like this ..."

His younger brother, Adam, was only twelve years old when the world began to collapse.

Adam is not just a younger sister. He is a loyal supporter, a friend of training, and the only one who believes in Zey even though the world swears him after losing to the international finals.

He is the one who records all the training videos. She edits the montage for youtube. She cooked when Zey was too 'grind' until she forgot to eat. Adam is not just the blood of the flesh ... he's the only spirit left.

But it all ended on a dimensional day.

That day, Adam wanted to go out to buy a special edition of the special mechanical keyboard surprise that Zey always mentioned. But he never got to the store.

The first dimensional cracks appear right in the middle of the main road. All witnesses say the same thing. The sky was split, one fog went down, and the little boy was dropped into the 'floating zone' that existed less than five minutes before disappearing.

The corpse was not found. CCTV footage cannot be recorded. No trace. No sound. Just disappear.

Police are classified as "loss during disaster". The world keeps moving. But Zey's time stopped since that time.

He didn't speak up a year. Don't touch the game. Don't look at the outside world. She lived like a corpse walking .... so her own blood activated Dungeon.exe.

And now, everything has changed.

The phone display shakes slowly. Ai Kara's voice appears automatically with its tonation softer than usual.

"Memory is identified. Subject: Adam. Link to Dimension Zone: HIGHLIGHTS."

Zey is sitting.

"What do you mean?" His voice was hoarse.

"The spirit or fragments of human memory lost during the dimensional storm can be trapped in Dungeon. Some Companion Beast is found to have a human personality pattern."

"You ... are you trying to say Adam is still alive?" Or is it ... something in Dungeon? "

"There is no certainty. But the opportunity to detect the 'residual XP' of the high subject spirit in a particular zone."

Zey grabbed the phone. His breathing was shorter, the chest vibrated.

"If he is still there ... even if it's just one remaining memory ... I'll look for it."

"Open the next zone."

[Active Zone: Bunian Prison - Level 3–5]

Zey is standing. This time it's not for XP. Not to ride the level. But for one thing more important than everything - the truth.

She turned hoodie, headphones, and took a small knife from the drawer. Not because he was sure he could win ... but because he couldn't lose it.

"Wait for me, Adam. If your spirit is still everywhere in that zone ... I'll look for it.

And with one touch on the screen, the dimension door opens. Purple light illuminated his face, and the world behind him disappeared.
