Eva's heart instantly sank to her feet.
As if that wasn't enough, Eva took in the names of the parents that were filled in the guardians' space.
The names were similar, very similar because they were Katherine's parents.
Dante glanced at Eva. She didn't move, didn't speak. In fact, she was so shocked that the files slipped out of her hands before she could hold them properly.
"Did she find what she's looking for?" Imma asked when she saw Eva's expression. "I think she did."
Dante picked up the files from the floor and handed them over to the doctor.
"Thanks for your help. I'll make sure to compensate you for the trouble," he said.
But the doctor immediately shook her head.
