"Tick, tock."
Black, charred mud dripped.
A pair of feet, encased in the black sludge, lightly touched the floor.
Satan, a handsome man with bare feet and a pristine white suit, a sickly smile playing on his face, materialized in the hall.
Constantine lay sprawled on the ground like a dead dog, a sneer twisting his lips: "You're finally here, Lucifer."
Lucifer, the Morningstar, the first angel to commit the Sin of Pride, the great enemy of Heaven, as described in the Book of Isaiah; "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"
"Ah, it's been a while since I've heard such ancient praise," Lucifer muttered, then glanced at the demon child frozen in the hall – his unruly child, Mammon. A hint of anger shadowed Lucifer's handsome face.
"This is a game between me and God."
He slowly walked towards Mammon, not forgetting to turn his head to look at Constantine, politely explaining, "I'm sorry, please wait while I send this unruly child back to Hell."
Before his voice faded, Lucifer appeared behind Mammon as if out of nowhere.
"Snap!"
A sturdy wrist gripped the demon child's neck.
Lucifer leaned over Mammon's ear and whispered with an evil laugh, "Go back to Hell, child."
The next instant, the marble floor reflected the image of burning flames. Mammon didn't have a chance to resist, and vanished into the floor like a streak of light.
"Now, that annoying guy is gone."
Lucifer whistled like a rogue, pulling a chair from the conference hall and sitting in front of Constantine. He spread his legs, resting one hand on his knee as he watched Constantine with amusement.
"I said I'd bring you to Hell myself, Constantine. You committed the sin of suicide, an unforgivable crime. You belong with me in Hell."
"Now, the time has come."
Lucifer stood up, grabbed Constantine's arm, and dragged him towards the center of the hall like a dead dog.
The sound of his clothes scraping against the floor filled the air. Constantine's vision was blurry.
Lucifer whistled, his mood light.
He could send Constantine to Hell in an instant, but he enjoyed the process of tormenting him.
Watching this man tremble with fear at the coming terror was immensely pleasurable for Lucifer.
He strode forward, his steps unhurried as the Lord of Hell. He had already devised a thousand ways to torment that bastard Constantine in Hell.
"I'm afraid you can't take him away."
A voice echoed from behind him.
Lucifer narrowed his eyes, a playful smile curving his lips.
It surprised Lucifer that someone could break free from his binding laws.
There were very few beings on Earth who could contend with his laws, and the few who could were old monsters who rarely showed themselves.
"When did another strong one appear in the human world?"
Lucifer dropped Constantine and turned to look behind him.
A young man in a black trench coat stood casually in the corner, hands in his pockets.
He'd appeared there at some unknown point, perhaps a long time ago, perhaps just a moment.
"Don't be too surprised. Earth has no strong individuals, and the mortal realm lacks any decent powerhouses, because I am the strongest."
Jino spoke calmly, as if his words weren't an exaggeration, but an undeniable truth.
At this moment, Constantine, his consciousness already half-faded, struggled to open his eyes, and with difficulty, uttered a few words: "Finally, you're here."
His backer had arrived. He could finally rest for a while.
Constantine closed his eyes completely and fainted.
Now.
In the vast conference hall, Jino and Lucifer stood in opposite corners.
One bathed in the bright, pure moonlight, like a god descended from the heavens, a carefree and disdainful smile playing on his face.
The other hidden in a dark and secluded corner, a tall figure with blue eyes, just standing there exuded an extreme sense of pressure, like a handsome warrior preparing to slay a god.
Lucifer looked at Jino.
The young man's arrogance reminded Lucifer of his own prideful youth.
"Young people are always fearless, full of passion and fantasies. That's a good thing."
Lucifer's lips curled into a smile, his handsome face bearing a hint of amusement, but his golden pupils radiated cold killing intent.
"But, excessive confidence will turn into arrogance, and arrogance will send one to Hell!"
"Arrogance?" Jino scoffed, shaking his head. "Perhaps you misunderstand me, Mr. Lucifer. This isn't arrogance, but confidence born of strength!"
Jino's words were cut short, but Lucifer instantly raised his arms to block.
"Boom!"
A fist, accompanied by a violent storm of wind, slammed into the fallen angel's arm. That incredible speed tore through the air, creating a whistling shriek.
The collision of a divine creation and a body of steel produced a deafening roar.
The booming vibrations spread through the air, shattering the reinforced bulletproof glass.
"Boom, boom, boom!"
Once he started, he didn't stop.
Jino continuously swung his fists, raining blows down on Lucifer like a torrential storm.
Just in a single second, he threw out no less than several thousand punches, the terrifying power enough to shatter the earth constantly slamming into Lucifer's arms.
"Crack, crack, crack~"
The sturdy floor beneath their feet also shattered.
"Boom!"
Along with the flying concrete, two figures plummeted from the ninth floor to the eighth.
Another powerful punch slammed hard into Lucifer's arm, followed by a kick to his cheek.
A biological field wrapped around the leather boot and stomped on the fallen angel's face.
"Bang!"
A colossal kick sent the King of Hell flying, leaving a dark shoe print on his pale, flawless cheek.
"Thud, thud, thud…"
Lucifer staggered back, steadying himself after retreating dozens of steps. The force of his legs shattered the stone beneath him, and a flash of fury ignited on his handsome face.
"Mortal!"
He roared, a sound not quite human, and his beautiful features twisted into a hideous grimace.
"How dare you?"
"How dare you humiliate me!"
He howled at the sky, and a torrent of crimson energy surged around him.
Lucifer had always been proud. Legend had it that this former angel, the Morningstar, was cast down from Heaven for committing the Sin of Pride.
Such a proud being had his dignity trampled by a mere human.
For a strong individual like him, sometimes dignity was even more important than life itself.
With the surge of crimson energy, Lucifer began his counterattack.
"Swish!"
With a wave of his large hand, Lucifer used Hell Magic to condense a sturdy Archangel's Sword.
The sharp tip of the sword pointed at Jino. Lucifer raised his left cheek, bearing the imprint of a shoe, and revealed a sickly smile. "Human, I will feed your flesh and blood to the Hellhounds."
Lucifer was roaring. He saw Jino shrug his shoulders. The young man was calm and collected, even extending his hand and beckoning Lucifer with a finger, sneering, "If you have the strength, then let me witness it!"
