Whenever he discovered something new, whether it was knowledge, or a new type of formula, or a replacement for an old formula, even training techniques and unique wisdom, he would gain True Aether.
Not that he needed much at the moment as the amount of knowledge and wisdom he gathered were more than enough to get him to Gold, even Platinum. But still, no alchemist would refuse more True Aether.
