"Dragon, before the World Government, that so-called 'Kingdom of Freedom' of yours is nothing more than a laughable delusion."
The admiral with flowing golden hair pointed toward the massive warships and towering giants looming behind him.
"I'll admit you're strong. But against them, the only fate awaiting you… is annihilation."
Dragon stood in silence, eyes cold, his expression betraying nothing. Then suddenly, his arms trembled and he shed his cloak, revealing a body covered in intricate totem-like tattoos.
It was the first time he had ever exposed these markings to the world. The admirals glanced at them with nothing more than mild curiosity—
—but within the ranks of the Giant God Soldiers, one figure's face instantly drained of color.
"Impossible…"
"That fruit… there's no way it should appear here!"
The neighboring giants turned to him in confusion.
"Kraaf (OC)?"
The one called Kraaf answered with a grim, gravelly voice, his expression growing heavier.
"This… this will be a nightmare battle. I never imagined that fruit would have a successor."
His gaze lingered on Dragon's strange tattoos, unwillingly dragging back an old memory.
If the Storm-Storm Fruit of the Twenty Kings had represented terror—
then this man's fruit was something far worse.
It represented nightmare itself.
A world-level disaster of a nightmare.
At that moment, the admirals—still unaware of the significance—suddenly sprang into motion. They knew Dragon's Devil Fruit power was formidable, but they also believed that together, they might still bring him down.
Blades of sword aura, crushing fist force, and waves of energy all surged toward Dragon in concert.
Yet Dragon moved unhurriedly, his gaze calm and unshaken. His body leapt skyward, black light coursing over him.
Armament Haki, dense and unyielding, cloaked his entire frame. Like a man forged of iron, Dragon unleashed his fists.
The collision was explosive. Energy detonated outward, shockwaves ripping across the shoreline. The beach collapsed into a massive crater, seawater surging in—only to be hurled back by the force of the winds.
The exchange had lasted dozens of blows already. Both sides had measured the other.
The admirals were unsurprised that Dragon withstood the assault.
"We've been at this for years. But today, for you to die here… what a shame."
A black-haired admiral blurred forward, his iron fist shrouded in rippling force as it slammed toward Dragon's chest.
Bang!
Dragon met the blow head-on, fists colliding with a thunderous crack. The shockwave howled outward, whipping the admiral's cloak into a frenzy.
"I've heard those words a thousand times already."
Expressionless, Dragon's power surged. His punch blasted the admiral away, hurling him through the air.
But Dragon's figure flickered and vanished—appearing instantly beside the airborne man. His blackened fist came down mercilessly.
Boom!
The strike hammered the admiral into the sand, detonating a crater ten meters wide.
Dragon had no intention of showing mercy.
Seeing their comrade slammed into the earth, the other two admirals rushed forward to intercept.
But they had forgotten—Dragon had yet to reveal his Devil Fruit powers. He was fighting with pure martial arts alone.
As the two approached, Dragon's figure vanished in a swirl of gale-force winds. The hurricane battered them, slowing their charge.
Dragon slipped through the storm like a fish through water, reappearing at their backs.
"Damn it—!"
They knew Dragon's speed all too well. If he closed the distance, they would suffer.
Just as they turned to counterattack, his fists were already driving into their guts.
Boom! Boom!
Both men were blasted away, crashing through trees before smashing into the cliffside.
It looked devastating, but to fighters of their level, the damage was more humiliation than mortal wound.
Coughing, the two admirals dragged themselves from the rubble, brushing dust from their coats.
"Damn him. He's grown far stronger than before."
"Yeah… he's a monster."
Their faces hardened. They had clashed with Dragon many times, but none of them had expected his growth to be this drastic. It was a bitter realization.
Crash!
From the crater, the first admiral leapt back into the fight, wiping blood from his brow. A bloody grin split his face.
"Every time I see you, you've got a new surprise in store."
Without hesitation, he unleashed his Devil Fruit power.
His body expanded into a nine-meter giant, eyes blazing, a vajra staff gripped in his hands—an enraged guardian Buddha.
"To be honest, I've never liked this bald form."
Seeing their ally transform, the other two activated their own Fruits as well.
One's body swelled into a massive one-horned rhinoceros. The other's skin hardened, turning a cold steel-gray.
The Army Admirals were not the Marines. Their strength, on the whole, fell short of the Navy. Even their admirals could not quite match Marine Admirals.
Aside from the Zoan "Human-Human Fruit, Model: Buddha," the other two Fruits were not particularly overwhelming.
But even so, to reach the rank of Army Admiral, they had power beyond most of the world.
And Dragon knew them well. He had fought them for years. Their abilities, their habits, their limits—he understood them all.
The true fight was only beginning.
"Come then. So long as I still stand here, I won't let you destroy anything."
Dragon's face grew colder, his presence heavier. Against their base forms, he could toy with them. But with their Fruits active, he dared not take them lightly.
Especially the Buddha—too reminiscent of Sengoku. A power he could not ignore.
"If it were the past, I might have held back," Dragon muttered, his gaze flicking—ever so slightly—toward the massive giants waiting offshore.
"But if I don't unleash my full strength now, I may drag this entire island into ruin."
The giants hadn't moved yet, but Dragon could feel their eyes on him. Sooner or later, they would join the fight.
Better to end it swiftly.
"Oh?"
"So you mean to finally reveal your Devil Fruit power?"
"We've been waiting for this. After all these years, your ability remains a mystery!"
The golden-haired admiral's eyes gleamed with anticipation, his voice thick with excitement.
The world's most wanted man.
The leader of the Revolutionary Army.
Monkey D. Dragon—whose Devil Fruit ability, to this day, remained an enigma.
