Chapter 68 - A Lost Battle Doesn’t Matter, Xero Must Die!

The most heaven defying movement was expecting what was next…

He took this poet to heart.

In this world, there was no attack that could even faintly touch Xero, even if there was, he would just sidestep it again...

He felt that his hard practice over the years were in vain; even the old secretary couldn't tell what kind of movement that was, which implied that he had performed his "Great One Thousand Side Stepping" Skill very perfectly. Of course, he didn't think it would be such a big deal, after all, he crafted this out of his own mind.

Those "Lord Steps," "The Leap Beyond Nine Heavens, " or the "Shattered Sword Veil..." after breaking down these movements, it inevitably led to one simple body movement...

The greatest truth were the simplest... which was Xero's style.

Looking at the showy, eye catching body movements on the market, he felt that most movements were demonized. Moreover, the more elegant they looked, the more it cost! What "Right And Elegance Jump," what "Five Thousand Step," what "Phantom Side"... these body movements were just beautifully wrapped presents of side step and dodge; they were so complicated that it was like wearing golden armor to a chess match — shiny, but utterly pointless.

"Classmate Zhang... that was just aura farming! How the hell did you dodge four attacks with just a simple sidestep?!" Han Jue was stunned by Xero's move and was so excessively shocked that even with his brain, he wouldn't be able to figure out how that was possible.

It was unexplainable. He couldn't fully understand how he was able to do so — he just thought that the boy's sidestep was calculated and strategic, that favourable conditions and good luck had united in one point to create such a physics-defying move.

Xero wouldn't admit that this sidestep was actually a body movement... but when he thought calmly about it, he figured that, even if he said it was, no one would believe him so he just connected it to luck as habit.

And the most likely thing was that this would be accepted by these friends from No. 90 High School, since Xero's usual existence was weak to begin with and the most impression of him was: average grades, poor family, and utterly weak...

The best evidence was at the start of the semester when he had obtained the SSR+ grade, this guy, Xero, who was able to use the Godly Gaze... if there hadn't been a bug in the system at that time, how would he have even got in in the first place?

And so, the friends from the top and mid lane thus sent congratulatory messages.

Cute Lianhua: "Wow! Classmate Zhang, nice move!"

Zhen Jie: "That's ma boi!"

Xinyan: "F**king defied physics!"

Blossom Misaki: "Hehe, Classmate Zhang, our No. 90 High School's quiet mascot! ♡"

Xero: "..."

...

Thirty minutes into the event, the income gap had increased to four thousand coins. No. 89 High School was still at a disadvantageous position and the situation continued to snowball from there. The main reason for this was the failed attempt to capture the duo lane, which straightaway threw Zunhao and the others into disarray; furthermore, they hadn't found a good reason to turn the tide around.

"Brother Wenyan, we can't go on like this… should we find another opportunity to attack the lane?" Baiye and Yixuan, who were in charge of their duo lane, sent messages. Xie Zhenyu on the other hand, was farming coins elsewhere.

"After the last failure, the two guys on the other side have been pressing against our turret! Now the health's skin is down to half… if it goes down any further, we'll be f**ked!"

"…"

Zunhao looked at his inventory list, which had been at a failed gank from the start. On the other side, Misaki's inventory list already contained a fourth blank sword… As soon as she had the fifth one, she would be able to build a great magic weapon. He on the other hand, had only just built his second blank sword…

This woman… was too strong!

This income disadvantage was a real pain for Zunhao; even if they continued to be pressed down in this way, he felt that it would be too late if she obtained her Stardust Sunder, which cost 7,000 game coins — after being converted digitally, its ATK was over 900 it dealt 300% critical damage. With just a few blows, it would completely destroy their turret.

"… Have you used your teleport yet?"

"No, why?"

"The ward on the duo lane! We'll teleport there!"

Zunhao was not superstitious… Take risks, even if it costs your reputation! Where we stumble, that is where we will continue!

This could all be summed up in one sentence; Talk the talk, walk the walk!

After the people from No. 89 High School agreed on the next course of action, an astounding scene occurred — two orange beams suddenly shot up from the ground!

The female host shouted excitedly, "Now, students from No. 89 High School have decided to teleport and flank the duo lane! Once again, they are attacking duo lane! They are the eyes and expectations of all of No. 89 High School! After the last defeat, Zunhao Wenyan, the leader of No. 89 High, has decided to strike once again!"

The sudden appearance of the teleport beams startled Xero.

"Watch out! They are coming back again!" Blossom Misaki warned them.

"Hold on for a little longer! We're on our way!" Zhen Jie said.

"Both of you don't even have teleport, how the hell are you guys gonna come here that quick!?" Han Jue was about to cry. In order to ensure their laning advantage, both Misaki and Zhen Jie had chosen ignite instead of teleport. And Lianhua and Xinyan chose the flash skill…

Looking at the two healing potions he and Xero were holding, Han Jue was about to burst into tears.

These were completely useless in helping them out!

The loading time for the teleport was almost instant, and Zunhao, Baiye and Yixuan and three other students immediately appeared in the duo lane. Their plan was to invade the lane and kill both Xero and Han Jue.

"Guys! Let's take it easy! This is just cruel!"

Under these conditions, the only thing Han Jue could think of was to delay them.

"Heh. Sorry, brother… our rule is, if you can do it, don't hesitate." How could Zunhao be willing to give away this valuable opportunity? He pointed his blank sword at Xero, already unable to wait any longer. "Kill this pretty boy first, then go for the ass bird."

Xero: "…" The f**k did I do?

Han Jue: "…" He had also heard it, and was immediately insulted. F**k! Just because he had a budgie, doesn't mean that he's an ass bird! F**k you for that!

While they were speaking, six people stood up, wielding their blank swords as they prepared to release all their resentment stored in their hearts. They advanced with fierce slashing motions in the name to boost their spirit.

Now that everyone had been converted into digital versions of themselves, they wouldn't have to worry about actually killing people. And if someone was cut, there wouldn't be any pain; at most, their health bar would be depleted, and if it was empty, they would be respawned in base.

It could be said that Zunhao was incredibly suppressed these last few days… after struggling to seize this opportunity, he wasn't going to let Xero go this easily… a lost battle didn't matter, Xero must die!

"…" Sensing this grievance, Xero couldn't help but sigh in his heart; why were they targeting such a, helpless, poor support…

Facing a six-people offense, Han Jue didn't have Xero's calm inner quality at all, and was immediately petrified.

"Sh*t! Support, guys! I need back up! Where the f**k are you all?!"

This cry for help made Zunhao feel much better. This type of experience could only be felt in a game, since killing someone in real life was a crime… even so, the murderous intent of these six people was strong! The aim of this teleport was to take heads — whether it was Xero or Han Jue, they both had to die, it didn't matter!

When the six people were about to land on them to attack, planning a dominant dive… suddenly , four people pressed forth from the reed marsh!

Misaki and Zhen Jie, who originally had been far away from the mid and upper lane along with Xinyan and Lianhua from the jungle had arrived!
