Xero sat at his desk, which had a lot of workbooks on it. Although he had participated in the four day exchange meet as a representative, Teacher Shuang's homework principle hadn't changed. If you miss important lectures, you have to complete the missed materials.
The spiritual intelligence of two pen and eraser skeleton was linked to Xero; he could order them to do this homework for him, with the condition that he had already mastered all of the spells and talismans included. Since he missed all four days of class, what he had to do now was catch up on those four days. It would be fine to give the task of writing to these chubbies later.
It took him about one and a half minutes to illustrate the study plan for today. He realised that there was a bunch of knowledge that he missed out on, including cultivation physics and cultivation calculus and maths... the teachers of these classes had actually assigned four homework sheets to be completed in the weekends!
In one word: Annoying!
Another: Infuriating!
...This was probably the reaction of the students when they first heard this nonsense.
In opposition, Xero was someone who really loved studying. From a young age, he had taught himself a number of spells including the Four Thousand Divine Holy Spells. Just like a baby who was born with their five senses, he was born with this knowledge already embedded deep within his mind... considering his previous life as a true transcendent cultivation monarch, it was only natural that he knew all of this. But he learned language (chinese) and culture through his own efforts. Furthermore, he really enjoyed the learning process.
Only studying could lift his mood!
At his desk, Xero opened his textbook, put on some earplugs, and went into self teaching mode. Before, he hadn't been able to completely ease out the volume of people complaining due to his Mind Reading Ability, but these earplugs ironically work like magic. It was made with the same materials as the Dao talisman seal, more importantly, it was created by Tianrui.
...
It was a peaceful and quiet weekend. Xero's nose and eye twitching warning sense hadn't been alerted of any coming danger.
Around noon, a black commercial Qiaobaideng limousine came to a stop not too far from the Zhang Family's small villa.
"Alright, sir. We're here."
In the limousine, a well dressed old butler spoke to a young boy.
The boy sitting with his legs crossed looked to be around eight to ten years old. He was wearing a pair of jeans, a loose blue striped shirt, and an Arale cap with the two little wings peeking out on each side.
This was a little Shota with a delicate face and the appearance of a child star; lucky enough, there wasn't anyone in the neighborhood out, if so, then he would be swarmed by reporters and fans.
Of course, he did enjoy the feeling of being recognised at first glance, but now that he had arrived at a place that had few pedestrians, he had no expectations of getting recognised. With a little sigh, the window rolled down a bit and he took a quick peek at the small villa. "The elder sister had taken a fancy to that villa?"
"Yes... we have already thoroughly investigated the matter, sir."
"Eh?! Are you sure? How can my future brother-in-law live in such a cheap staked place? Not to mention, there isn't that many people in this neighborhood," (twenty to thirty houses.)
The old butler cleared his throat and reassured, "Yes. There is no mistake sir. This was the address I was given when I negotiated with Elder Miss' connoisseur, Yun Hao." He said precisely. "But I must remind you, sir, that it is too early to call him brother in law, although free love in certain communities is permitted, I must ensure you that—"
"Okay, okay, I get it! I won't call him brother in law for now, so annoying..." The boy rolled his eyes. "It's about the Dark Light Calamity, right? I've heard about this! I also know that back then, there were instructions on how to evade it..."
".... Right... But, sir! Please be careful with your words! I heard a Blessed and Exalted Immortal from Zhao Immortal Castle lives there..."
The boy shrugged, "For goodness sake, it's the second phase into the Scientific Cultivation Era! Where do you guys get these superstitions from! I don't think that old uncle's feuds are reliable... the hell is 'As light and shadow collide, our clan's legacy will blaze across the heavens.' ... Doesn't that seem a bit too much?!"
The old butler shook his head with a bitter chuckle. "It is much I'll give you that, but still, you have to adhere to those principles. Besides, these are the words of the Blessed and Exalted Immortal! Eldest Miss has to find the most powerful person that can separate the shadows of the sky."
The boy couldn't help but stop debating with this inscrutable uncle. He needed to get this over with and so, he just dismissed what he said and switched the subject. "Is the gift prepared?"
Since they would be meeting for the first time, the Yunhua Lotus Group had made it a must for a gift, so that their reputation wouldn't be tarnished. This was what the family had thought Aoi Xi ever since he was a child.
The old butler handed Aoi Xi a cosmic storage box. "Sir, in the storage bag there are two longevity peaches which can extend life and cure constipation; two youth, and moisturizing elixirs to nourish the skin; two Xuantian detoxification pills to cure constipation and further enhance gut health; Two Grand pills to help cardiovascular health and improve heart pace, also there are—"
"Enough!"
Aoi Xi didn't wait for him to finish explaining before he opened the car door and left the old uncle dumbfounded. He then hurried over.
Old butler: "..."
...
The young boy stood at the front door of the Zhang Family's small villa, blissfully unaware of the wizard man currently studying on the second floor.
Dithering at the front door, he pondered for a moment. It's weekend time, so that guy his elder sister is so interested in wouldn't come out... instead it would be his parents.
Also, once the door swung open, should he introduce himself with his real name or his well known music name?
His music name was Baifeng, which he was most known for. But there was no guarantee that his name had reached such a neighborhood area... it would be very embarrassing if he used his music name and looked stupid...
Just as he mustered up the courage to knock on the door, a sudden flash of a silhouette suddenly appeared of two strong men ten feet tall, and they unexpectedly jumped down from the roof of the house.
"What the f**k! Who are you two!" Aoi Xi was stunned.
"Uh... Sir?"
One of the men looked at the boy and growled seriously. "No one disturbs our Master when he's studying!"
