Chapter 82 - Please Confirm The Delivery Address, Monkey...

So... he had essentially discovered treasure?

Primordial black crystal stones usually came from meteorites that managed to break through the Earth's field. These phenomenal stones only came once every two thousand years. Furthermore, it was easy for cave miners to create other crystals with the black stone itself.

Like with this stone ghost mask; from the quality inspection report which the employee had sent, it was clearly written that this ghost mask was made from eighty five percent black crystal and fifteen percent silver stone.

It was an ordinary mask which didn't serve any purpose, and the shopkeepers were unaware that it contained black crystal, and so put this treasure at 700 HNY.

Xero knew that 700 HNY for a ghost stone mask wasn't expensive at all. But taking into consideration that his pocket money was just two thousand yuan a month, he could say that it was in fact expensive....

Seeing that Xero was slow to reply, the customer sent a text, "Uhm. Hello? Are you there, friend?"

Xero replied, "Hm?"

"If the price isn't suitable for you, we can certainly negotiate for a discount... Mm, of course, I won't tell you that this mask is actually cursed!"

Xero: "Hm?!"

"Ah shit. Sorry, that was a typo. I meant that this mask isn't cursed and will certainly give you good luck ;)"

"..."

Who the f**k are you trying to deceive? Patrick Star?!

Finally, Xero threatened to use the online customer support complaint service until the employee told him the truth. "Okay, okay! Initially, we bought this mask from a anonymous group. Our boss really liked it because of its unique appearance. But overtime, as the mask hung on our shop, our sales dropped drastically... ever since then, we've been trying to sell it off in hopes of regaining our market."

Xero stared at the stone ghost mask for a while, and couldn't detect anything suspicious about it.

Still, he had to see for himself in person to know if it had bad intentions.

Actually Xero was somebody who liked to looking for things amusing to do.

After all, being supreme was so, so lonely...

Although Xero doubted that the ghost mask was actually cursed, seeing how desperate the employee was to selling it off, he felt as if there was some truth to it disrupting the market.

After due consideration, Xero sent a number to the employee.

When the employee saw a lonely '6' unexpectedly appear in the chat window, he was astonished. "This friend... are you sure you're not missing a zero?" If it had been '60', the customer service employee would have completely understood. It was a cursed mask, after all. Selling it cheap was unexpected... but f**k! Six yuan?! Do you think you're buying custard bun snacks?!!

The customer service employee waited four whole minutes and realised that he hadn't corrected the message at all. He felt a little disheartened.

Of course, Xero hadn't left and just folded his arms as he waited patiently for the employee to reply. This was a technique which he had learned from Mother Zhang, who often used it when she was window shopping or negotiating to cut those short headed services. Patience and mental endurance was key...

After a stalemate of almost fifteen minutes, the customer service employee finally sent a message, "Alright fine! Six yuan! Please confirm the delivery address, monkey."

However, to his surprise, Xero was still silent.

The customer service employee sent a crying emoji. "Friend, don't tell me you've reconsidered?"

Xero was silent for a while, and then sent a few words on the chat window. "Aren't you forgetting the delivery fee?"

In.... Include delivery fee?! Buy for six yuan, and still want to include the damn fee! The customer service employee felt as if his senses were refreshed. What kind of customer was this?? Even though the customer was god... this was the first time he had seen such a stingy and arrogant god!

F**k you! The customer service employee thought in his heart with extreme grief and vexation.

...

It was about five in the evening on Saturday in the third week of semester.

Xero felt that he had done a number of things today. He caught up on the homework and knowledge he was missing, destroyed an underground laboratory that had been conspiring against him... he had also purchased a mask online, so now he had to settle on one more thing. Now he had to wait for Jie Tong Express to deliver the mask delivery fee included.

This entire day was indeed productive, but it had tired Xero out.

On one side, Father Zhang and Jian Beibei were still blabbering around enthusiastically, engaged in a battle of wits as they worked out some new plot details for the new book. On the other side, Mother Zhang had just finished cleaning the house, and knocked on Xero's bedroom door. "Son! Get ready! Change into something nice, we're eating out in the evening!"

Xero: "..." Eating out..?

As far as he knew, the Zhang Family rarely ate out and this was largely because of Xero. Zhang Wei and Lin Mei were widely worried that Xero would cause problems for the restaurant if they went out... so the number of times they went out to eat in a year, was like how much a fat ass goes to the gym. It was usually only on New Year or Xero's Birthday that they would spend lavishly for a beautiful meal for Xero. Apart from that, they were now going out eat, and that meant that a relative was coming...

Xero's assumption was proven right.

About an hour later, his spiritual senses picked up an old man on a hoverboard approaching the silent area around the small gate of the Zhang Family's small villa.

The old man was a little fat, and it seemed riding that hoverboard was fire as hell! He was wearing a black-fashioned mandarin hat, a dark blue mandarin jacket and a yellow miansha. He staggered a little as he hopped off the hoverboard, and Xero was a little concerned that he would fall if he wasn't careful.

The old man bent down slightly, hands on his lap. He took a few deep breaths, thumped his shoulders and then stretched as he yawned. Then he slowly removed the bag from his back and opened it. Unexpectedly, the bag was full with fruits.

Mother Zhang had been drying some clothes at the front of the villa, when she suddenly saw a fat figure appear at the front gate, she hurried to meet him. "Oh good evening dad! Why did you come on a hoverboard? You should have called me, I would have gotten Zhang Hua to pick you up!"

Grandfather Zhang rubbed his head. "Zhang Hua... who is Zhang Hua?"

"Zhang Hua is your son..."

"Oh right! My son!"

Grandfather Zhang shook his head and pointed to the open bag full of apples. "Do I have a grandson named Kongji? These fruits, I bought them for my grandson, remember to take them..."

Mother Zhang: "..."

Xero: "..."
