When the official bell for morning self-study rang, Teacher Shuang stepped into the classroom on time and went behind the dais.
Mini Mochi had already collected everyone's homework, and further sorted them out to said subject as he waited for her to inspect them.
Being a teacher for many years, her eyes were like a scanner; she could look at any set of homework, and calculate how much were missing based on the thickness, even if it was just twenty exam sheets.
Her gaze swept over the homework on the lectern and she nodded with satisfaction. "Very good. I have told the teachers from the other classes that our class cadre is independent and so very responsible. As your teacher, I am very pleased to have given the purveyor position of supervising studies to Ling Tian! Since the start of the semester, the homework was collected and submitted on time. I hope that the representatives of each course can play a leading role and work hard towards it."
Hearing Teacher Shuang praise him, Mini Mochi lowered his head in embarrassment. "…"
As purveyor in charge of studies, it was actually wrong to encourage students who hadn't even done the homework on time to copy from someone else early in the morning. Though, Mini Mochi was deeply aware that just as there were rules to follow for society, so it was for school, given the fact that some students who tattled with teachers would be hated. He felt as if he was trapped between two rocks, and had extremely mixed emotions in his heart.
How you'd remind students to finish their homework in time without ending up being hated was something he was working on for a while since obtaining this position.
It could be said that the pillars of society stand firm only because they rest upon bowed backs; compared to Zhen Jie and Han Jue, Mini Mochi still wasn't that thick-skinned.
Even Teacher Shuang couldn't have known that these two idiots were in a battlefield of vigorously copying. The minute she walked in, in a one hundred and eighty rotation, they sat obediently like they had nothing to do with it.
But sharp-eyed Teacher Shuang had noticed something as she eyed Han Jue. "Student Jue, what's wrong with your nose?"
All the students turned their heads, and immediately saw two red streams slowly dripping down his nostrils.
As if it wasn't already obvious, everyone was well aware on why this was the case… this was certainly the side effect of using ambiguity of Four Pens. This skill's difficulty was real difficult, and if not done properly and with the slightest overuse could pierce the ophthalmic vein. Hence, this was the situation.
Han Jue calmly took out a tissue and wiped his nose and looked mournfully to Teacher Shuang. "Teacher, I missed a lot of homework due to the four day exchange. This is probably due to the several nights of revision in a row. The blood was pumped vigorously!"
Everyone: "…" Genuinely have never seen a person this shameless!
God, what a half-assed lie! And the most miraculous thing was that Teacher Shuang actually believed him!
"I see. Everyone should take notes from Han Jue as this is the result of focusing on your studies."
"…"
Sitting at the back, Xero sighed deeply in his heart that "rivers forget their course without banks, and people forget themselves without boundaries."
There were thirteen lessons in the official textbook of the Dao talisman course and they were already on the seventh lesson in the course. There were eighteen weeks in total of one semester; this was only the fourth week and Teacher Shuang was already halfway.
This was her personal, quick pace that she preferred. Based on this, she would roughly be able to finish the whole textbook by the eight or ninth week of the semester. The rest of the time would be used to frantically review the content with various amounts of exercises. Teacher Shuang felt that this was the best way to refresh the students' minds after they were done with said textbook.
In the past four weeks, her explanations had mainly consisted of classifications, function, basic application, basic knowledge and drawing and use of Dao talismans. The latter, taught in the fourth week, was the most difficult frameworks of the course as it could be applied in different ways.
According to Xero's own understanding, it was basically like factorization in maths.
Among these, the biggest dick shove in the ass were the talisman application and calculation, which revolved around many formulas, so memorization was one thing.
However, unexpectedly, during the morning self-study today, she didn't get them to work on memorizing formulas. Instead, she took the time to say two things.
"As you all may know, we were very successful in the spirit sword exchange meet a few days ago. The six students we sent made a very fine example of No. 90 High School, and thus gaining a hard-won victory…"
As she said this, there were murmurs of discussion around the classroom. Word on the string of Xero and the other four students' great deeds they had accomplished against No. 89 High School; in particular, everyone had seen the live broadcast of the final spirit sword exchange meet. It hadn't been f**king hard won at all, in fact, it was very clearly one sided. Teacher Shuang simply said it that way to appear unpretentious.
"Our No. 90 High School has stood fast for two hundred years and had been striving towards being a key city high school. We have finally gotten the opportunity, as this year, we have become on the candidate list of becoming a key city high school. Next week, Secretary Hong of The Covenant of Ten Thousand Schools will send a working group to visit and tour our school. I hope that in the next few weeks, everyone will maintain their learning attitudes and make the proper learning atmosphere."
When Teacher Shuang said this, most students understood her meaning… obviously, hard times were bound to come. This kind of working group sent by the Education Department was no different or less powerful than the inspection division of the central government's Anti-Immortality Administration.
"Recently… some teachers complained of various delinquents copying off other students' homework…"
As Teacher Shuang said this, Zhen Jie and Han Jue couldn't help but break out in cold sweat.
"But I believe the students in our Advanced Class 1-B would never engage in such behavior!"
Xero: "…" No f**king way…
"…" Mini Mochi covered his face with his palms and again lowered his head even lower in shame.
"Then. Apart from these matters, there is one important one…"
Teacher Shuang said, "Since the leader was once attacked by a pet on school grounds, they are now extremely afraid of that occurring once again…"
Xero could guess what she was about to say next. "So, Headmaster Huang and Director Ruoxi approached me after some discussion. In order to cooperate with the work of the school, during that period where the working group would be visiting, is there a volunteer who could take Drowsy Void in for a while?"
Everyone's expressions were a little lethargic. "…"
The hell?! So they were restricted to keep pets?
Xero could not help looking at Drowsy Void as this guy started to wag its tail excitedly where it lay prone at the back of the classroom.
