Chapter 220: Adamantine Sealing Chains
Under normal circumstances, Hiruzen would have stayed to appease the villagers. Unfortunately, he was in a hurry to transfer the Nine-Tails to Kushina. Seeing the Hokage leave again, the villagers couldn't help but feel resentment.
Sasuke followed him. The Jinchuriki transfer was an important event. Participating would not only provide strength but also increase his political influence. Hiruzen, noticing that he was following, agreed.
Soon, the group arrived at a shrine on the outskirts of the village. At that moment, Mito, without her Yin Seal, looked incredibly old, leaning against the altar, the candle of her life flickering out. Around her were several sealing squads, protecting a red-haired girl.
Mito was about to lose control. The Nine-Tails inside her unleashed all its resentment in a volcanic eruption of chakra. Each impact made her tremble, and threads of chakra leaked out, forming a thick layer of tailed beast skin.
"Little monkey, time is running out! We have to move now!" she said to Hiruzen.
"Bring the container and start sealing!" Danzo ordered, taking command.
A ninja quickly brought Kushina before Mito. Hearing the word "container," Mito frowned, but remained silent.
"Grandma!" Kushina cried, tears streaming down her face. Mito weakly stroked her little head, her eyes filled with tenderness.
"Four Symbols Seal: Transfer Array!" Hiruzen ordered. "Open!"
A torrent of black runes spread across the ground, forming two counter-rotating vortices around Mito and Kushina. A powerful suction emanated from the vortex on Kushina's abdomen, forcefully drawing in the Nine-Tails' chakra.
Mito's fur transformed into chakra threads, flowing towards Kushina. The suction vortex intensified, releasing a torrent of dark red chakra.
"Roar!" resonated from within the torrent.
The chakra grew stronger, but Kushina's vortex had a limit to its absorption capacity. Between the two, a small Nine-Tails chakra body began to form. Although it wasn't complete, it condensed into a solid fox claw, reaching for Kushina's heart.
The sealing team tried to contain the claw with runes, but the rest of the chakra body became increasingly solid. Finally, a smaller Nine-Tails appeared on the altar. Then, the seal inside Mito's abdomen collapsed, releasing an enormous amount of chakra. The Nine-Tails instantly expanded.
"Adamantine Sealing Chains!" Mito roared with one last effort, unreservedly unleashing the remaining power of her bloodline. Several golden chains, like giant pythons, surrounded the Nine-Tails with impeccable precision.
"Roar!" the beast abandoned Kushina and counterattacked with a claw, piercing Mito's body.
"Nine-Tails, we're even," she said, holding the claw that pierced her chest, as if reuniting with an old friend.
"Grandma!" Kushina cried in pain. Her red hair danced like a flaming lion; her Uzumaki bloodline was finally fully awakening. "Adamantine Sealing Chains!"
Several golden chains shot out and wrapped around the Nine-Tails. Simultaneously, a vortex, like a black hole, emanated from her abdomen, drawing the beast in.
"No!" the Nine-Tails roared, struggling to break free. But the more it struggled, the faster it lost strength. Finally, it was dragged into the vortex. A plume of white smoke rose from the skin of her abdomen, and the Eight Trigrams rune seal finally disappeared.
