Chapter 67 - USJ

So class began, things went along very well for the first half of the day. During break, Izuku sat with Jiro outside on a bench, the sunlight warming their backs and a gentle breeze ruffling their hair.

They leaned slightly toward each other, voices low enough to keep the conversation private amid the chatter of other students.

"I didn't tell you this but you are bad singer," she said, laughing, her eyes sparkling as she nudged him lightly with her shoulder.

"I knew we shouldn't have went to Karaoke, now you know my weakness," Izuku said with a smile, shaking his head and brushing a strand of hair from his forehead.

"Yeah, and I got your 'Weakness' on Camera," she said, holding up her phone with a grin.

The screen showed a shaky video of Izuku belting out a song, face red with effort.

"Wow, you already got dirt on me and I haven't even debuted as a hero yet. That's crazy," Izuku said, leaning back against the bench, eyes playful.

"I can give you dirt about me if you want. So we can even out," she said, nudging him again, her laughter light and teasing.

"Nah, I'd rather find out myself. What's the use of having someone's secret if they're the one that tells you," he said with a smirk, his gaze steady and confident.

Just from the look in his eyes, Jiro blushed and looked away, hiding the warmth creeping across her cheeks.

"Good, wouldn't have it any other way," she said softly, smiling under her lashes.

' Man, he's gorgeous. Is there anything he's not good at, besides singing of course? Which honestly makes him cuter now that I think about it, ' she thought, letting herself watch him in the quiet sunlight.

They stayed on the bench, talking about music, favorite songs, and everything in between, the world around them fading slightly as they shared the moment.

Until the bell rang, slicing through their little bubble and pulling them back to the rhythm of the school day.

Jiro had to go to the bathroom, so Izuku walked back alone. The hallway was quiet, the faint echo of footsteps bouncing off the lockers as he strolled.

On his way back, he ran into Kendo, who was walking back to class with a small bag of snacks in her hand.

Suddenly, she dropped some of them, the wrappers scattering across the floor with a soft rustle. Izuku quickly crouched and picked them up for her, placing them carefully back in her bag.

" Oh, thank you," she said as she took them, her fingers brushing his for a brief moment.

Raising her eyes, she met Izuku's gaze and almost felt her heart stop.

' It's him!' she thought, her cheeks warming instantly.

" No problem. You must be from Class B, right?" he asked, his tone calm and friendly.

" Yeah. You… know me?" she asked, a hint of surprise in her voice.

" Not really, but I've seen you here and there. What's your name? I'm Izuku, by the way," he said, extending his hand with an easy smile.

Kendo took it as she shook it, feeling a strange flutter in her chest. " Kendo, and I kinda already knew your name."

" Oh, that's nice. Well, I'll see you later then, Kendo," he said before walking past her, the soft shuffle of his shoes fading down the hallway.

She stood there for a moment, clutching her bag a little tighter, lost in thought.

' He's as kind as they say. Really cool dude, honestly,' she thought, her mind spinning as she watched him disappear around the corner.

As Izuku walked down the hallway, he spotted Momo leaning casually against the wall by the classroom door, a notebook in hand.

" Hey, Momo," he called, grinning.

" Izuku!" she said, her eyes lighting up. "You're back early. Everything okay?"

" Yeah, just a little detour," he said, waving a hand. "Ran into Kendo from Class B—she dropped her snacks, so I helped her out."

She frowned slightly, her lips twitching. 'So you're meeting Class B girls now… Are we not enough?' is what she wanted to say, but the words caught in her throat.

Momo laughed softly, shaking her head, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "You're always helping someone. That's why everyone likes you, you know."

Izuku chuckled, scratching the back of his head, then a small smirk tugged at his lips. "Do you like me also?" he asked, teasing lightly.

" Well… I do. As a friend, of course," she said, her cheeks flushing a soft pink. "You're really nice and cute. Sometimes. God… what am I saying?" Her voice trailed off, flustered.

" Thanks, Momo. I think you're cute too," he said, grinning warmly. "We should hang out one of these days. Alone, of course."

Momo was a blushing mess, her hands fiddling nervously with the edges of her notebook, but she dusted off a bit of courage. " I would like that… Now, will you excuse me?" she said, spinning on her heel and running off before her cheeks could burn any brighter.

Izuku watched her go, a soft chuckle escaping him. 'I never would have guessed Momo of all people was shy,' he thought, shaking his head with an amused smile.

Izuku shook his head with a smile and turned toward the classroom. The chatter of his classmates grew louder as he approached, the familiar hum of desks and voices filling the room.

He slipped into his seat just as the bell rang, signaling the start of the next lesson. Around him, friends were settling in, some glancing at him with curiosity, others immersed in their own conversations.

'I wonder how things will go at USJ' he thought, sliding his notebook onto the desk.

A few hours later, Aizawa finally entered the room, his tired eyes scanning over the class.

" For today's Hero Basic Training, All Might and I will be supervising," he said in his usual monotone. "We'll be focusing on Natural Disasters training. This includes floods, fires, earthquakes, and other occurrences you may face when rescuing civilians. So, go change and meet me outside."

The class buzzed with chatter and excitement as everyone stood up and headed toward the locker rooms. The sound of lockers slamming, zippers sliding, and shoes thudding against the floor filled the air as they got into their hero costumes. Soon, the group made their way outside, the afternoon sun shining down on them as they gathered in the training field.

Mina bounced over to Izuku, her usual energy shining through. Standing beside him, she tilted her head with a playful grin.

" You know, I never really paid much attention before… but you're really muscular, Izuku."

" You think? Thanks for noticing, I guess," he replied with a sheepish smile, rubbing the back of his neck.

She giggled, her sharp teeth showing. " What about me, huh? What have you noticed about me?" Her pink eyes stared into his with a hint of curiosity and something more.

Izuku chuckled. " Hmm, not sure. I guess we'll have to hang out more so I can notice something."

Mina's cheeks darkened to a shade nearly matching her skin tone. " Y-yeah, guess we should. Also, how do you even dance? I figured you'd be stiff."

Izuku smirked lightly. " I mean, I'm not that big, look." With that, he tugged at the zipper of his hero suit and pulled it down halfway, revealing his toned upper body—defined muscles from years of training now on full display.

Mina froze, her eyes widening as heat rushed to her cheeks, but she didn't look away. Instead, she stared openly, her lips parting slightly.

Around them, several other girls caught the movement, their attention instantly snapping toward him. Before long, nearly every girl nearby had stolen a glance—and then another—unable to hide their surprise.

Gasps and hushed whispers spread through the group. Was Deku always built like that? Since when? No way…

Mina's blush deepened as she stammered, " Y-yeah, I guess you're hot. I mean, you aren't like… super muscular, b-but…"

Izuku laughed, zipping his suit back up with a grin. " Thanks for the semi-compliment."

A chorus of groans and disappointed sighs came from behind him. He glanced up and caught several of the girls quickly whipping their heads away, pretending they hadn't been staring.

' Wow… am I an exhibitionist?' he thought, shaking his head in disbelief as he tried not to laugh.
