The visible components on the bridge began to shimmer, to subtly ripple, and then, almost instantly, they were gone, pulled into a specialized sub-dimension within Aegis's internal structure, a space configured for the handling of colossal, volatile constructs. Kaelen knew it was now situated near the main power conduits, awaiting Elias's direct integration.

"We will commence the installation immediately," Elias stated, already moving towards a series of smaller, more intricate consoles that shimmered into existence, seemingly pulled from the very air around him. The air in the bridge now tasted faintly of ozone and something impossibly clean, like primordial hydrogen. "The existing core, while efficient for its type, is a compromise. This... this is transcendence.
