He had been tight-lipped since last night. Every question I asked, slid off of him like water on glass. It was either deflected, dismissed or changed. Eventually, I stopped pushing. I didn't want another fight.
"I'm not sure this is a good idea," I murmured, one hand resting on my abdomen as I watched Ravić load the last of our bags into the car. "Are you sure this is wise?"
Why was he so adamant about bringing us out of here?
The vehicle was bigger than the one he usually drove. My breath actually caught when he carried out a baby's seat and secured it neatly in the back. I hadn't even thought to buy one yet, since I hadn't really thought that we'd be going anywhere at all.
"Normally I would've loved staying in the city for a few days, but..." I trailed off, as he swung the passenger door open for me.
"I have everything you'll ever need," he said, brushing a kiss on my head. "Don't worry, Rosie. I already took care of it."
