Chapter 115 - Chapter 115

Light spilled through the sealed curtains, giving the room a soft, golden glow. I blinked, taking it all in. The wide oak desk sitting by the tall windows, the glass jars and the instruments, all neatly arranged along the counter. My old microscope was sitting in the corner of the table, one from my apartment, a gift from my father and definitely one I thought I'd never see again. 

Bookshelves lined the other side of the walls, half of them filled with my old research notes. I run my fingers over them, wondering if Ravić had stole some of them from my old apartment. Or my office and if he did, how the hell did he manage it?

"I thought you'd want to work again," he said quietly, almost shyly for once. "So I built you this. Right beside my office, of course."

The breath left my chest in a small, broken sound. "How did...how did you manage it?"

He shrugged one shoulder, like it was nothing. "I had help, naturally."
