Ravić pulled back just enough to search my face, his gaze tender in a way that almost undid me all over again. The way he brushed the strand of hair from my cheek, tucking it behind my ear as if it were the most precious thing in the world.
"Come here," he whispered.
He didn't tug. He just took my hand and let me follow at my own pace. The bathroom lights glowing soft and warm the moment we entered.
My chest tightened.
"Ravić, you don't have to—"
"I want to," he said, his voice low, certain. "Let me take care of you tonight, Rosie. You need this."
And something in me just...gave away.
He helped me out of my sweater, his fingers careful and unhurried. Like I was made of the fragile glass he refused to mishandle. When my clothes then pooled at my feet, seconds later, he didn't even stare like he used to. He just wrapped his arms around me again, resting his forehead against mine, letting me breathe him in.
