Nadia Sinclair, defeated, broken, and most importantly, angry, stormed out of the garden unable to watch one more second of that kiss.
Yasmin ran after her. "Aunt?" She called out to her.
Nadia blatantly ignored her. It wasn't the time to talk. She needed answers.
In rage, she stormed straight to Faiza's room, and grabbed the door handle forcefully.
When it didn't open, she began to knock. "Faiza? Open the door Faiza! Why did you lock yourself in?!" She banged the door harder.
At first she didn't hear a thing. No sounds, not even the slightest bit of movement.
"Faiza?!" Her voice rang thunderously, and she followed up with an equally heavy knock.
"Go away," she suddenly heard.
Slowing down, she pressed her ears against the door, at the same time Yasmin appeared beside her.
"What's going on, aunt—"
"Shhh," she silenced her. "Fai, it's me. It's Nadia. Please open the door and talk to me. Why did you lock yourself in? Did you change your mind? Please talk to me."
