Chapter 198 - BREWING TROUBLE

Aveline knew she couldn't avoid Atlas for much longer.

She had an obligation to the Sinclair Foundation, and there were only so many days she could take off before it became a problem.

On the evening of the next day, she stepped out of the room, and approached the kitchen.

Joanne, who was shredding chicken, stopped on seeing her.

"Ave?" She called out her name.

Aveline smiled weakly. "I'm hungry," she confessed.

Joanne didn't say any words, but sprung to immediate action.

She brought her a plate, and a bottle of water.

"Thanks," she said, turning around to leave.

"Ave? Will you be fine?"

Aveline paused briefly to consider the question. "I will be," she answered after careful deliberations.

She walked out of the kitchen, and went straight to Atlas room.

He wasn't in the room when she walked in, and so she dropped her plate on the table and returned to her room.

She grabbed her phone, then went back to Atlas room.
