Chapter 10 - Accidental Apocalypse Of Ren.

INT. FOREVER WINTER MAIN BASE – NIGHT

Tension hangs thick in the air. Officers crowd around a glowing tactical screen.

OFFICER 1

Sir, military has entered the city.

OFFICER 2

Syndicates are moving in. It's chaos.

OFFICER 3

Should we join the fight?

Suddenly, a deep voice echoes from the shadows.

UNKNOWN VOICE

Why would we join?

Guns are drawn. Flashlights flicker.

OFFICER 1

Who are you?!

UNKNOWN VOICE

Calm down, boys. No need to panic.

From the darkness steps a man in dramatic sunglasses indoors.

UNKNOWN VOICE (CONT'D)

Name's Alies Maximus. Kneel before your king.

OFFICER 2 (to Boss)

Should I shoot him?

BOSS

(staring)

Maybe.

ALIES MAXIMUS

Stop, stop! Uncle—it's me.

The boss exhales and facepalms.

BOSS

You absolute idiot.

ALIES

Just joking. I knew you were expecting me.

BOSS

How's the plan?

ALIES

Executed perfectly. Black Bear is gone. I declared war, dropped the mic, and vanished.

BOSS

Excellent. My side's complete too. The military's in motion, and the syndicates are losing their minds.

ALIES

Time for Winter Bear to rise from the ashes.

BOSS

Every pawn played their part... except the kingmaker.

ALIES

He's dead, isn't he?

BOSS

Come. Look.

He taps a button. A grainy CCTV clip plays:

A gangster stumbles into a bar, downs a drink, walks up to a random man, whispers nonsense, and runs away.

---

INT. POLICE STATION – NIGHT

Sirens outside. Officer Grad's coffee is shaking in his hand.

OFFICER

Sir! We're doomed.

GRAD

(weary)

What now?

OFFICER

Sir... look at this.

---

INT. FOREVER WINTER BASE – NIGHT

Alies points at the screen.

ALIES

Look closely. This is what started everything.

BOSS

That guy's already dead, though.

---

INT. POLICE STATION

Grad leans forward, eyes narrowing.

GRAD

Wait a second…

GRAD (CONT'D)

Oh.

Oh no.

Oh hell no.

---

INT. FOREVER WINTER BASE

ALIES

Hahaha. Now you see it?

BOSS

Yes, Uncle.

They raise a toast to the dumbest prophecy that ever changed the world.

---

INT. REN'S APARTMENT – MORNING

Ren wakes up from a cozy sleep. Sunlight spills across the floor. He hums as he showers, gets dressed, and starts cleaning.

REN

Where's the remote?

TV blares to life with breaking news.

TV ANCHOR (V.O.)

"Black bunny will eat white rat because lion king is fake"—the phrase that threw the underworld into chaos…

Ren blinks at the screen.

TV ANCHOR (V.O.)

…that triggered a war between syndicates and the military…

An explosion cracks his window. He looks outside.

Tanks roll through streets. Missiles streak the sky. Gangsters with bazookas exchange fire with armed drones.

Ren freezes.

REN

No… no no no... those were just words. I made them up.

DING DONG.

Still in shock, he stumbles to the door and opens it.

Two fully armored police officers stand outside. One of them is Officer Grad, holding a file like a death sentence.

GRAD

Ren... did you pay the bar tab?

Ren flashes back—

The drunk gangster.

The nonsense words.

The awkward silence.

The unpaid bill.

REN

(trembling)

…Sorry?

Behind him, another missile explodes.

FADE OUT.

---

THE END.
