Chapter 44 - Shiniji, What Are You...

Medea, despite bleeding from her arm, grew intrigued at the sight of the once-cowardly Caster of Red, who, despite still shaking her knees, grew emboldened enough to attack her. Licking her lips, Medea, Caster of Blue, raised her arms. "Husband, could you please... "

"With pleasure, dearie..."

Ignoring the blushing Medea, Souichiro attacked Shinji, who was now unprotected. Slamming his palms straight at him, he knew that Shinji would be dead on impact.

Kid, don't blame me. Blame it on the fact that you joined the wrong battle– What!?

Souichiro's eyes grew wide at the scene before him. He could not believe what he was seeing:

Without changing face, Shinji had managed to grab hold of the Homurahara teacher's hand, twisting it until a loutbpop was heard. Dragging back his dislocated shoulder, he waited until Medea healed his right arm. Damn it, how did he do that!? And those eyes, they're only obtained after surviving through many wars. How on earth did a 17-year-old get them!?

His thoughts were interrupted as Shinji launched an uppercut, forcing the assassin to tilt his head up, only to realise it was a feint. Before he could do anything, a sharp kick landed on the left side, causing him to spin in circles, crashing right into a tree.

"Mordred, coordinate with Castoria in subduing Medea. I shall handle the assassin..."

Without further warning, Shinji launched his assault upon the combat-ready teacher/assassin/Master. Utilising the vast catalogue of martial arts he learned during his tenure as a Space Marine, he managed to go toe-to-toe against the assassin, combining Jiu-Jitsu, Baji Quan, Muay Thai, and many more, in his attacks.

Meanwhile, in conjunction with Mordred, Castoria launched devastating attacks upon Medea, causing her to get several small cuts on her skin from the attacks she could not dodge. "Hey little girl, what spells are you using? I can sense that they're from the Age of Gods, but their composition feels foreign to me...

As if they don't belong to our world..."

Hearing this, Morgan could wait no longer. Utilising the vast energy from her Master (the energy, while vast, felt very eerie to her). Without an ounce of hesitation, she raised her hand. A bright blue spear conjured itself in the air, its sharp tip pointed straight at Medea's head. Just as she was about to launch it, the magecraft quickly dissipated, before Morgan materialised a black spear (Aww, no shiny boom-boom ‐Stelle, (un)fortunate Master of Berserker of Red).

Fwoosh!

Parrying the arrow that came from nowhere, Morgan and the others were quickly distracted. Sensing this to be their chance, Medea quickly escaped the blockade, creating a fog screen, before dragging Souichiro back with her.

Gazing at the sky, Shiji satred off into the distance for a deep minute, before turning towards the group. "Alright. We shall split up and return back to our quarters. Stelle and Ritsuka, you shall stay in one of the many houses I have in the city. Here, take the keys. Oh, and before I forget, we cannot be seen publicly associating with others, lest the other members find the correlation between us. And no, they won't find me, for I had been using a facial disillusioned for the fight, so even if they know I'm the Master of Caster of Blue, they don't know who I am, nor where I live. Capiche?"

Nodding in sheer awe, they instinctively began following his orders, even the rambunctious duo (thanks you Sire! *tears in eyes* – Mash, unfortunate caretaker).

Pursing her blue lips, Morgan followed the orders of the man.

She did not why her daughter kept patronising the man. He looked pale, weak, meek, an unbecoming example of a man. He looked frivolous, and acted frivolous.

He was basically a thing that only thought with the brain down under

That was until she saw him today...

Fighting against the trained warrior in an ambush, successfully driving him away, even giving curt yet prophetic orders, he was the perfect man. Seems to me that you might be right after all...
