[In hospital]
Taewon stood outside the hospital room, his palms pressed together, head lowered.
Inside, he could see through the glass window Jihyun lying on the bed,
A nurse fixing a drip into his arm.
Every tick of the clock clawed at his nerves.
He'd never felt fear like this before. Not even during his hardest years.
The thought of losing Jihyun, of seeing him hurt it was something he didn't know how to face.
What I do now?
Why do i always end up useless when it comes to him?
Taesung's voice broke his thoughts.
"Taewon," he said quietly, resting a hand on his shoulder.
"Let me talk to the doctor. You stay here for now."
Taewon nodded numbly, his throat too tight to speak.
The door opened, and Taesung stepped inside, his calm composure returning part brother, part doctor.
Taewon watched helplessly, seeing him move toward the physician near Jihyun's bed.
Through the small opening before the door closed, he caught a glimpse of Jihyun his lips parted as he breathed slowly, his hand resting protectively on his belly.
The nurse said something softly, and Jihyun nodded faintly.
That was the last thing Taewon saw before the door shut completely.
Outside,
He paced once, twice, until Taesung returned.
The doctor followed him out, removing his gloves, expression composed but serious.
"Mr. Taewon," he began, looking between them both.
"We've done the tests and stabilised your partner. The baby's heartbeat is strong, so for now, the child is safe."
Taewon's breath trembled in relief.
"And Jihyun? He's fine too, right?"
The doctor hesitated.
"Jihyun's condition… is delicate."
Taewon frowned. "Delicate?"
Taesung spoke softly.
"Explain properly, Doctor."
The doctor nodded, his tone steady but firm.
"Jihyun's body has become extremely fragile. The bleeding was caused by internal strain his system's not handling the pregnancy well.
From this point onward, he must avoid all physical and emotional stress.
Complete rest is necessary."
Taewon's shoulders stiffened, his heartbeat loud in his ears.
"There's more," the doctor added after a pause.
"His internal support system the organ unique to Omegas that nurtures the fetus is weakening. It's a genetic condition. For some dominant Omegas, it collapses after their first childbirth."
Taewon stared blankly. "Meaning?"
The doctor exhaled, looking down briefly before continuing,
"Meaning after this baby, it's highly likely Jihyun won't be able to conceive again."
The silence hit hard.
Taewon's hand twitched slightly.
"You're saying… he can't"
"Not safely," the doctor interrupted gently.
"Another pregnancy could risk his life. The tests show abnormal hormonal patterns. We'll confirm further after delivery."
Taesung's face was grim.
"And the delivery itself?"
"That's another concern," the doctor said quietly.
"We're preparing for possible complications. His body may not endure natural birth.
A cesarean might be the only option, but even that" He trailed off.
"We'll need to monitor closely."
Taewon's voice was low.
"Does Jihyun know any of this?"
"No," the doctor replied.
"We told him it's normal weakness among dominant Omegas. Please, keep it that way. He shouldn't be stressed."
Taesung placed a firm hand on Taewon's shoulder.
"We'll handle it. Thank you, Doctor."
The doctor nodded and left, leaving them in the quiet hallway.
Taewon stood still for a long time.
The words not safely risk his life echoed in his head.
Taesung looked at him, expression softening.
"Taewon, don't tell anyone yet not Mom, not Jihan, not even Jihyun. He's already frightened enough."
Taewon finally nodded, his throat dry.
"I know… but" His voice cracked.
"How am I supposed to look at him and pretend nothing's wrong?"
Taesung sighed, tightening his grip.
"By remembering he's still here, breathing, holding on. That's what matters right now."
(Inside the room)
Jihyun was sitting up, sipping water slowly.
When Taewon entered, he looked up immediately, a small smile curving his pale lips.
"Hey."
Taewon walked closer, trying to keep his voice steady.
"How are you feeling?"
"Better," Jihyun said softly.
"Doc said it's just normal weakness. Happens to some Omegas."
He chuckled faintly, though his voice trembled a little.
"Guess even dominant ones like me get weak sometimes."
Taewon sat beside him, forcing a small smile.
"Yeah… maybe you just like giving me heart attacks."
Jihyun laughed quietly, reaching for his hand.
"Sorry for scaring you."
Taewon didn't answer. He just looked at him really looked.
At the faint color returning to Jihyun's face, the way his fingers curled around his own.
Then Jihyun leaned gently against him, whispering,
"It's okay, really. The baby's fine. You don't need to look so scared."
Taewon swallowed hard, his hand resting on Jihyun's hair.
"Promise me," he said quietly.
"From now on, you'll take care of yourself even more."
"I promise," Jihyun murmured.
For a moment, the air was still just their breaths mingling softly.
Then Jihyun smiled.
"Doc said I can go home today. Let's go?"
Taewon nodded slowly.
"You wait here. I'll talk to the doctor again."
"Okay," Jihyun said, watching him leave.
When the door closed,
Jihyun exhaled, reaching for his phone on the table.
The screen lit up with messages.
Soobin: We're back!
Liya: Finally in Seoul again!
Wonyoung: Dinner tonight?
Jungwon: Celebration for our pregnant mom, obviously.
Jihyun smiled softly at the screen, his eyes brightening a little.
He was about to type when another name appeared Minjoon.
He answered immediately.
"Hyung what's up?"
"fine, and you?"
"I'm also good hyung"
" Jihyun-ah, where are you?"
Minjoon's voice was hurried.
"You sound tired."
Jihyun hesitated.
"I'm at the hospital."
"What? Why?"
Minjoon's tone turned sharp instantly.
"Don't panic," Jihyun said quickly.
"It was just a little bleeding. They said it's normal. The baby's fine."
There was silence on the other side, then Minjoon's quiet exhale.
"I'm coming," he said, and hung up before Jihyun could reply.
"Hyung...no, wait"
(At Han Villa)
Minjoon stormed downstairs, grabbing his jacket.
Taehyun sat on the couch with his laptop, typing something.
"We're going to Kang Villa,"
Minjoon said abruptly.
Taehyun looked up, confused.
"What happened?"
"Jihyun's in the hospital," Minjoon said, voice shaking slightly. "I'm not waiting"
"Minjoon," Taehyun interrupted gently, standing and catching his wrist.
"Breathe."
"I can't just sit"
"You won't help him by panicking."
Taehyun pulled him closer, calm but firm. "We'll go. But stop acting like a storm, alright?"
Minjoon exhaled shakily, lowering his gaze.
Taehyun's tone softened, his thumb brushing the back of Minjoon's hand.
"Didn't the doctor tell you to control your stress?"
"If you keep doing this, I'll tell Jihyun myself."
Minjoon's lips parted, but he didn't argue. Instead, he sat down quietly, rubbing his temple.
Taehyun watched him silently for a while, then smiled faintly.
"Come on. Let's go together."
Minjoon nodded slowly, still lost in his thoughts.
Something unreadable passed through his eyes fear, something darker.
Taehyun noticed but said nothing, just placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
As they left the villa together, Minjoon looked out the window, whispering quietly to himself.
Please, god I'm tired i don't want anyone to be hurt anymore i can't.
And beside him,
Taehyun's gaze softened unaware that Minjoon carried a secret even heavier than his own.
Because Minjoon never let anyone notice that it wasn't only Jihyun who faced all trauma depression the hallucinations alone but him also after his parents death
