"Very interesting of you… but give it up, you won't win."
Elias appeared like a ghost once again but Nelson did not just stand there waiting for him to close the distance between them.
He pulled out a grenade and raised it over his head… The moment Elias appeared, he smashed the grenade down and took a step back, disappearing from view.
Elias only realized when it was already too late to dodge so he unleashed a terrifying level of gravity to contain the explosion… however before he would take another look at Nelson, the man was no longer there… seemingly to have vanished into thin air.
'Did he use this as a distraction to escape?'
Elias Vorn chuckled darkly.
'It seems to me like he realized how futile it is to fight against one with a cosmic law… kido, you made the right decision to run and yes, watch your back because I will obviously come after you.'
He smirked, turning towards his already destroyed shed before disappearing in the direction that Nelson had taken.
A few seconds later, the entire place exploded with a deafening thunderclap, shaking the earth to its foundation.

Nelson sighed softly, his eyes staring into the dark night with an unusual calmness in those chilling pupils.
'I have to leave the city or else, the Asuras will discover that I wasn't able to complete their mission. I can't have them kill me.'
Normally before a mission is accepted, the person in question will have to leave a ton of valuables at the base enough to lure them there in case they failed to accomplish the mission. It was a weird strategy and it obviously worked.
Persons who failed the mission will have it in mind to go to the base, retrieve their belongings without alerting security and leave. But who would have thought that they will be ambushed the moment they entered which marks the end for them.
But Nelson wasn't stupid.
A few notifications popped up in his line of sight and he saw.
Mission Progress: FAILED
Time: (Exceeded the time limit)
Punishment for failure: DEATH
Nelson smiled darkly.
'The Asuras don't obviously know who they are up against…'
'Since they think I will come back for my things, let me oblige them.'
Nelson stood still for a while, listening to the sound of the rain and feeling the way it poured down on him, sliding off his body ever so slickly.
Then, he smiled, his dagger flashing in the darkness… he turned sharply, not missing the target. His poisoned blade had pierced someone in the chest, right at the heart, shooting right out of his back.
Nelson smiled.
"Unfortunately, you underestimated me. This is where it ends, isn't it?"
Elias Vorn couldn't believe that he had fallen into a trap set by this demon in human flesh.
'He had the guts to deceive me…'
With pain in his eyes, he tried to resist but Nelson did not plan to go easy on him. He immediately twisted the blade in such a way that Elias' heart was ripped apart.
In fact, what infuriated Nelson the more is… his mission stat still showed the same status. Apparently, he already exceeded the time frame to accomplish this mission. So killing him now wouldn't change the fact that he had failed the mission.
'Fuck!!!'
Angrily taking it out at Elias, he pierced the dagger the more, drawing his blood, biting his lips and snickering in mockery.
"You were so full of yourself earlier… where is the victory you promised me earlier??? If you had just allowed yourself to be killed earlier, then I would have been a Tier 5 assassin by now.'
Elias, despite the pain, managed to chuckle…
"Oh, so you will be killed too? That is wonderful, at least we will be seeing each other in hell, hahahahahhaha, cough, cough, cough."
Nelson lifted his lips in mockery, but then ruthlessly, he pulled the dagger out, destroying everything in the man's body in an instant.
Elias' body toppled to the ground, lifeless. And just when Nelson thought he was having the worst night… a fierce storm suddenly picked up under the heavy rain. It gathered from Elias' body as it rushed towards Nelson who stared at the sight in shock.
'Wait…'
He did not want to believe it, but it is what it is…
For each person he kills, especially those who cultivate cosmic laws, he could absorb their laws like it were his.
Nelson smiled like a crazed kid.
"So this is how it is, huh? So who should I kill next? The vice president? He has a very powerful cosmic law. If I can take out a cosmic law user as an ordinary human… then I can take out that vice president… Everyone who goes against me will have to pay with their life."
He kicked Elias' corpse to the side and then walked towards the Asura base…
The mission stat still showed in his line of sight, mocking him… promising him a decent fight and more cosmic laws to steal….
