Chapter 1 - Chapter One - Calyxar

Victor pressed his finger into the air, a system menu appeared with a large notification.

{One hour remaining until server maintenance.}

Damn, already?

All of my money and memories flushed down the drain because the developers don't care to keep the servers up.

Victor paced back and forth around his overly flashy guild house that him and his friends spent years building. The house from the outside resembled a European castle from the medieval days, but the guild called it a house because they were quite humble.

The guilds title was 'We#1'

You can't change your guild name once you make it so they successfully predicted that they were going to be on top of the guilds.

Victor cherished each second. He didn't want his world to return back to normal. Once the servers were shut down he would have to return to his boring office job, he hadn't done anything in Gancun for weeks due to his work but he finally saved his paid time off up and was allowed to take off on this special day.

He couldn't just let everything go to waste he had.

Potions were grabbed and thrown into his inventory as he frantically rushed into every room, he was searching for the most powerful items he could find.

He felt bad. His men spent all of their time on the game and he was just deciding to throw it all away. Then he realized that the items would be thrown away anyways by the admins, he was also the leader of the guild so he was sure they wouldn't care.

The highest tiers of scrolls, potions, secret weapons. They were all into his inventory.

An exceptional grade armor suit with multiple enchantments on each piece stood in their gold room. The room contained all of the guild members items and inventories, though they were locked. The locks were so powerful even the guild master couldn't crack them.

Victor stared at the suit of armor as he slowly approached it.

The armor looks extremely heavy, too much heavy class armor to fight Craetes.

He knew he had to try the armor on anyways though, even if he didn't wear it to the fight he thought it would be a disgrace to his clan if the armor was that perfectly made and crafted specifically for We#1 and never got worn once.

The armor shone with magical enhancements, beaming as if the sun itself were inside of the room. Purple and black aura surrounded the armor, the purple was caused by poison thorn. When you attacked the wearer, you would take an amount of damage from the thorn enchantment, then take damage over time from the poison. The black came from an insta-death spell, if you were below level 30, or had less than 5% of your HP left, then you died on the spot just from being in proximity of the wearer.

Victor shook as he picked the helmet up off of its stand, it was as heavy as it looked.

He checked the stats on the helmet and it almost seemed like the set was worth it to wear to battle.

[+142 HP]

[+41 Mana]

[+59 Melee Damage]

Sure wish I were still a swordsman. He thought.

These stats were abnormal, an average battle helmet would only contain one stat, probably a damage buff of some sort or HP. Having 3 stats on each piece, especially if they matched up to your class, you would be unstoppable.

Victor checked the legendary stats on all of the pieces before equipping them. Though when he slid the boots on the set felt much lighter.

The set also has a buff when you have every piece on at once the weight drops to as if it were leather.

He decided now was the time to open his inventory and drink all of the potions he had just gathered since they all last over an hour.

[Night Vision: 36 Hours Remaining]

[+125 Defense & +125 Armor: 2 Hours Remaining]

[+200 HP: 1 Hour Remaining]

[+225 Mana & +115 Magic Damage: 1 Hour Remaining]

He knew he would need each of these potions to defeat the beast, possibly more.

Victor hyped himself up before popping the system back up in front of him. Jumping up and down while pumping his arms in the air, sometimes glancing back at his guild members inventories. He couldn't let them down.

[Which of your respawn beacons would you like to teleport to?]

Abyssal Void, the cave usually took weeks or months of preparing for the top guilds to enter it, if a guild wasn't in the top 5 for the most power they didn't even dare. The cave held the strongest of the Great Dragons, Calyxar the Universal. Calyxar was over 125 feet tall and he was ruthless, in the lore of the world it is said that the soul of one of the gods of Gancun was planted into Calyxar.

Victor clicked Abyssal Void on the floating screen, instantly appearing in front of the awful looking cave. The Abyssal Void from the outside was a spitting image of fear.

{Fifteen minutes remaining until server maintenance.}

The notification appeared in front of him but he knew he didn't have the time to read it, he was too busy running and climbing through the dangerously designed cave. One slip and he would lose all of his gear, respawning back at the guild house.

Calyxar.

Great Dragons each had a different color for their eyes, Lycna had bright orange eyes, Yril the hydra had a set of pink on one head and a set of blue on the other. Calyxar's eyes were black, his left one was faintly red due to it being stabbed by a throwing knife.

Calyxar was programmed to be so strong that he is a true immortal being, the only in the entire world of Gancun, that didn't stop Victor from trying to defeat Calyxar himself. The way to 'beat' the immortal was to deal enough damage that it would trigger a certain code in the game to transfer the loot into your inventory.

Victor calmly walked up to Calyxar the Universal, even though his heart was about to beat out of his chest.

Calyxar huffed through his large nostrils, he recognized Victor since he had been beaten by him and his guild several times through the years. The dragon didn't plan on holding back.

Victor pulled his God tier sword out, it stood at 11 feet long, towering over him as he held it.

Zagreus was the name of the sword, it being a God tier item meant it was the best tier in the game, only found in the best of the best instances or by defeating the most powerful beasts. Calyxar's Universal title meant that he was a tier below God tier, but since Calyxar was Universal tier it meant you would need plenty of God tier items to defeat him. God tier bosses would be extremely overpowered so the admins decided to never add them.

Calyxar wagged his humongous tail back and forth, the dragon loved using his tail in battle, the length made it a huge advantage for him and he could hit a lot of the men raiding his cave if not the whole group.

Sharp claws grew from each of the dragons feet, his body even appeared like it was growing, because it was, though it was hard to tell from Victor's eyes.

The dragon always evolved before the battle begun, making him even larger and allowing him to use more of his power.

Calyxar whipped his tail at Victor.

Victor quickly sliced his blade through the air to block, but there was no blocking that thick tail. He just had to block as much as he could.

The tail and sword clashed, but there wasn't any animation, it was just like real life.

A gash had been left where Zagreus cut into Calyxar's tail.
