Celeste POV
I flinched at the coldness in his voice. This wasn't the warm, patient Liam I was used to. This was someone who clearly didn't want me around.
"I... I just wanted to talk," I said weakly.
"About what?" Liam crossed his arms over his chest, making no move to sit down or make me feel comfortable. "I'm kind of busy right now."
"I know," I said, the words coming out more bitter than I intended. "I saw."
Liam's eyes narrowed. "You saw what?"
"You. With that woman. In your bedroom." My voice cracked on the last word, betraying me.
"Were you spying on me?" Liam asked, anger creeping into his tone. "That's real classy, Celeste."
"The door was open," I defended myself. "I wasn't spying. I just... I came to see you, and I didn't know you had company."
"So you watched?" Liam's voice was incredulous and disgusted. "You stood there and watched me with someone else?"
