Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Godfather, You Can't Die

When Tang San told Tang Hao about his second Martial Soul, the hammer, Tang Hao was excited.

"Dual Martial Souls, it's actually Dual Martial Souls! My son has Dual Martial Souls!"

It was obvious that Tang Hao was excited. He spread his powerful arms, quickly walked up to Tang San, and hugged him tightly with great strength.

Cough, cough "Godfather, actually, I also have two Martial Souls," Qin Tian interrupted, wanting to ruin the moment.

"You?"

Tang Hao let go of Tang San, whose face was red from the embrace, and looked at Qin Tian with confusion.

"Yes, actually, I have another Martial Soul. I don't know why, but it won't come out. If it did, I'm sure it would surprise you," Qin Tian said mischievously.

He had been raised by his grandparents in his previous life, and the more he wanted to learn, the less he could. Before he knew it, he had turned into a good-for-nothing.

Seeing the father-son bond between Tang San and Tang Hao, he felt a bit envious and awkward.

Tang Hao walked up to Qin Tian, a bit suspicious. This kid awakened a brick as his Martial Soul and it actually responded with soul power. Could he really have another Martial Soul?

"Stretch out both your hands, concentrate on your Martial Soul, and imagine it appearing in your hands," Tang Hao instructed.

Qin Tian extended his hands and followed Tang Hao instructions. Master Su Yuntao from the Spirit Hall had taught them how to summon their Martial Souls.

Then, in Qin Tian right hand, a large green brick appeared. Compared to when it first appeared, it seemed more complete, no longer with missing corners or cracks.

And in the palm of his other hand, a bronze light began to emerge, as if a Martial Soul was really about to manifest.

Ten seconds passed!

Qin Tian was sweating profusely, his face pale. His Bronze Coffin Martial Soul was unwilling to emerge!

"Godfather, it won't come out," Qin Tian said helplessly, seeking assistance.

This was his real goal: to let Tang Hao, a Title Douluo-level expert, see what was going on with his Bronze Coffin. Why had it awakened but not manifested?

A flash of light appeared in Tang Hao murky eyes. He stretched out his hand and placed it on Qin Tian palm, attempting to send soul power to investigate.

Boom!

The next moment, Qin Tian once again heard a loud "clang," but Tang San and Tang Hao did not hear it.

Tang Hao only felt a trace of soul power he had sent into Qin Tian body vanish.

This caught Tang Hao interest. He sent two more traces of soul power into Qin Tian palm, but just like before, they vanished before he could examine them.

This truly stirred Tang Hao curiosity. In truth, such a situation was rare. The quality and aptitude of a Martial Soul were directly related. Normally, the better the Martial Soul, the better the cultivation aptitude.

When Qin Tian awakened, Tang San had already mentioned that his aptitude was average.

But now, Tang Hao realized that this kid might actually have Dual Martial Souls, and the fact that they were absorbing his soul power was very strange.

Tang Hao then tested by increasing the amount of soul power he was sending. He wanted to see what was going on with Qin Tian second Martial Soul.

Qin Tian felt comfortable, warm all over, as if he was experiencing the sensation he had when he first awakened his Martial Soul. He had an idea in mind—this time, the benefits were great.

"Enough! It's reacting now. My Bronze Coffin Martial Soul is coming out!"

Qin Tian exclaimed in surprise.

Tang Hao breathed a sigh of relief. Just as he had expected, even though this kid's Martial Soul had the ability to consume soul power, once it had absorbed enough, it would stop.

He had never been worried about not being able to feed Qin Tian Martial Soul. As a Title Douluo-level powerhouse, this kid had just awakened, and he was still only a Spirit Scholar.

Tang Hao released Qin Tian right hand and stepped back a few paces. He wanted to see what this kid's Martial Soul actually was.

"Clang!"

A huge, rusty bronze coffin emerged halfway, causing Tang San blacksmith shop to collapse. Realizing the trouble he had caused, Qin Tian quickly focused and retracted his Martial Soul.

"Dad, wake up! Dad, don't scare me! What's wrong?"

Tang San anxiously called out.

It had been too sudden. The bronze coffin was enormous, and when it came crashing down, neither Tang Hao nor Tang San was prepared. Instinctively, Tang Hao, holding Tang San, was crushed and unable to catch his breath, almost passing out.

The problem was that he had underestimated Qin Tian Martial Soul. Even as a Title Douluo, Tang Hao was caught off guard. Even a Spirit Saint couldn't hurt him, but this was still a dangerous situation!

Now, it was a mess!

The bronze coffin was so heavy, it felt like a mountain crashing down. It was life-threatening!

"Godfather, you can't die!"

Qin Tian panicked, his heart racing. If he had killed Tang San father, this would be a huge problem. His Martial Soul, the Bronze Coffin, was unlucky enough. Was he going to be known as a bringer of misfortune for the rest of his life?

This was impossible. Old Tang was a Title Douluo, Haotian Douluo, renowned for his great strength.

"It's fine, I'm fine."

Tang Hao, who had been stunned by the fall, quickly recovered.

His mind was now racing. How could a Title Douluo be knocked out by something like that? What had hit him?

It was embarrassing, especially in front of his two sons.

At this time, many villagers gathered around, wondering what had happened. Why had Tang San blacksmith shop collapsed?

"It's fine, the house was too old, no one's hurt," Tang Hao said, stepping out to address the concerned villagers.

His mind was still on Qin Tian Martial Soul. He had to figure it out, or he wouldn't rest easy. He wouldn't be satisfied until he understood what was going on. He still had unfinished business to take care of, after all.

"Let's go, we'll hunt some wild game for lunch, and on the way back, we'll gather wood and rebuild the house."

Tang Hao grabbed Tang San and Qin Tian hands, urgently leading them toward the back mountain.

The village was built at the foot of the mountain, where wild boars and bears occasionally appeared, though they were rare. Most of the time, it was just wild rabbits and chickens.

Along the way, Tang Hao didn't speak, while Tang San and Qin Tian were distracted.

Tang San kept staring at Qin Tian, occasionally glancing at Tang Hao. He had sensed that his father might not be an ordinary person.

Tang San had realized this a long time ago—his father had a story, and everything that had happened today made him feel warm inside. When danger struck, his father had immediately protected him.

The three of them were no ordinary people, their steps swift.

Tang San had the support of Mysterious Heaven Skill, Tang Hao was a Douluo, and Qin Tian was naturally super strong, able to carry giant rocks weighing thousands of pounds.

"Come on, Gazi, let's release your Martial Soul."

They reached a valley, and Tang Hao led Tang San away from Qin Tian, standing about two hundred meters away.

Qin Tian remained silent, amused at how Tang Hao and Tang San were so frightened.

Clang!

The valley trembled as a twenty-meter-long bronze coffin appeared, sending birds and animals scattering in all directions.

Of course, there was dust everywhere, as if the mountain was collapsing.

"This... this is a coffin."

Tang Hao, who had seen many things, felt like his worldview had been completely overturned.

Tang San stood there, stunned. Such a large coffin, made of bronze, could this really be a Martial Soul?
