The room filled with cheers and laughter from friends, family and Omuga's colleagues during his resignation party at Sulwe Hotel. Domnic his best friend, colleague and right-hand man still in disbelief he just stepped aside from his role. " Master. Why resign now?" He asked and continued explaining "look at the crowd happy and cheery that's the community you built." Omuga casually brushed it off saying..."Dom it's time for a change, new goals to strive for but the community will always be on my heart. Let's have fun tonight"
The party went on people eating, drinking and having fun with a little gossip around the room and that's when Maimuna lashed out to a few ladies sitting at a corner who were spreading rumors about Omuga her husband that he had stolen money meant for a defense contract awarded by his former office to a proxy contractor. "What do you know about the contract?" Maimuna asked them but none of them could utter a word because everyone in the room had turned looking at the ladies. "They are drunk!! " Domnic stepped in and cooled Maimuna down then they walked outside the room. Mr. John secretary of defense had just graced the party in respect to his former personal assistant who had served him for fifteen years from when he was the chairman of defense parliamentary committee.
"You got to deal with the rumors" he mentioned it in a deep voice to Omuga while they were having a drink together, at that moment Maimuna was calm, and they were walking back in the room when Omuga gazed at Domnic and instantly Domnic knew what he was to do. Noo it was way deeper than that because as he kept chanting the slogan and his few men responded " Blue knights" his former boss Mr. John was smiling the entire time.
" Sir!! welcome on stage " Omuga abruptly amongst the chants he called on to Mr. John to come and finalize the event with his speech. The room went silent and everyone watched Mr. John majestically walks towards the podium and when he got there, he watched the room and spoke to the same men Omuga had led into chanting "THE GREATE LOLWE IS TO COME UP" now Mr. John was also from Gilgal town the same hometown to Omuga, this had brought more friction between ministry of defense and Ethics agency stating nepotism but was it? or just an empowerment to younger and vibrant generation to enhance regional growth. The men chanted back " Blue Knights...Service to All" with zeal that confused the crowd the more.
